Highschool au!
Kim's pov
I walked through the lunch room to my table where my friends Hannah, Zoey, and Minty sat waiting for me. I dropped my red bag next to me on the floor and tossed my lunch bag onto the table.
"Heya Kim!" Zoey said happily, she always stole the parts of my lunch I didn't want and that's all she ever had so she was always happy to see me.
"Hey Kim" Hannah smiled, me and her would play all sorts of games online together.
"Hi" Minty said, she designed most of the games we play, or would mod them, but no matter what she always had some hand in the editing. As I let Zoey rummage through my bag I noticed Hannah watching something with a particular look in her eyes. I turned and saw the subject of her gaze, Lewis Brinley. She was head over heels for him, he was walking with his best friend Simon, and some guy I haven't seen before, he had soft blonde hair and light blue eyes.
"Hey guys, who's the guy with Lewis?" I asked the group.
"Oh I think that's the new kid." Zoey said glancing ovee at them then back to her food. Minty chimed in,
"I don't know be he's looking this way." After she said it Hannah quickly looked back at the group,
"You're right he was, I hope he didn't notice me staring before I noticed him, but that's Duncan Jones, and yeah he's that new kid people have been talking about." She said, its kinda freaky how much she knows about Lewis and his friends.
"Oh, new you said?" I chimed up
"Yeah, he took quiet a liking to Lewis's group of friends too, and it seems like he has to you too, he's staring right at you Kim!" Hannah giggled and I glanced behind me to see she was right. She nudged me,
"Go talk to him!"
"What? Why!" I aksed nervously
" because kim! Just go!" Zoey pushed me out of my chair and up.
"Ah, fine!" I sighed defeated. And walked towards the guys who now had their backs turned to us. I glaced back at the girls all giggling and nodding at me. I reached the tall blonde and lightly tapped his shoulder. He spun around and blushed deeply after seeing me.
"Hi I heard you're new and wanted to Introduce myself, I'm Kim, nice to meet you." I held out my hand to him
"Uh h-hi, I'm Duncan, its n-nice to meet you too" and he took my hand quickly and shook it, I looked up at him and smiled, he was rather cute really, all flustered. And he looked down on me, secretly amused by how tiny I was in comparison to him, and smiled brightly through his blush.
