Epic Adventure

Kim's pov
"Hey duncan?" I said looking over some crafting materials.
"What's up?" He looked up from his project
"I think we should make a time machine, we have all the parts"
"Huh...sure why not"

Simon's pov
I went down into the kitchen and opened up the fridge, down the hall I could here machines and the sounds of a working duncan. From the noises I can tell kim is with him and dropping small devices, they must be working on something pretty big. My stomache growled and I suddenly stopped caring, I made myself a sandwich and sat down at the couch. I realized I had forgotten my drink and I placed my sandwich on the coffee table in front of me. I returned to the kitchen and grabbed my water bottle. But when I returned, my sandwich was in the mouth of a very particular corgi, mandrew.
"Mandrew that's not for you!" I shouted at the pup. But he took off with my sandwhich still in his mouth. I cased after him screaming, "mandrew no!"
I chased him past where kim and duncan were working and saw a black hole opening as they were screaming running around. They were sucked into it along with most of their tools, but I lost sight of the room as I chased the dog around a corner. We went down turn after turn untill i lost sight of him, that little bastard was probably eating my sandwich right now! I put ny hands on my knees and panted trying to regain my breath, as I did so, lewis came racing down the hall.
"What happened to kim and ducan!?" He screamed at me.
"What, I don't know, lewis we have more concerning matters!"
"What could be worse than a rip in the time space continuum!?"
"Mandrew!"
"What about him, what happened to mandrew!"
"He stole my sandwich!" Lewis glared at me, scoffed, and took back off muttering under his breath something that sounded like, mandrew...and a sandwhich.
"Lewis doesn't think this is important, well I will avenge you sandwich!" I started running down the halls again, I could see as I ran past rooms, that the rooms were fading into images of the past or the future. I don't kbow what kim and duncan did, but my sandwich mattered more too me right now. I saw a door that was slightly opened and swaying lightly.
"AH HAH" I screamed as I opened the door, there was mandrew alright, being sucked into a gaint hole in the side of the wall, it was pulling us both in. Mandrew scappered around with the sandwich in his mouth. I grabbed onto the door and madrew ran towards me.
"Oh now you come here!" I shouted over the wind and crashing of objects around us. As the little corgi scampered towards me he lost his hold on the sandwich and I watched as it fell into the giant hole in the wall and disappeared completely.
"NOO!" I yelled defeated. Then the gaint hole shook the building and a huge wave of light went over me and the corgi now in my arm, mandrew was in trouble but I couldn't let the little guy go the same way as my sandwich. Then through the light the hole collapsed in on itself and suddenly vanished, I could heard cheering from down the hall.
"Well mandrew, I'm gonna need a new sandwich." I set him down and he followed me as I walked back to the kitchen.

Kim's pov
Me and duncan sat around the rubble of our very failed time machine covered in blood, flux, and who knows what else.
"Duncan! We did it!" I jumped over and hugged him, more of tackled him.
"We just saved the world!" He said giving me a bear hug back.
"We caused it though?" I laughed
"So, we still saved it!" He said right before simon walked over.
"Hey guys, oh sorry do you guys need a room?" He laughed
"Simon, we just saved the world!" Duncan exclaimed, ignoring the room comment.
"Oh cool I guess"
"You guess?! We traveled through multiple dimensions, fought with our alternate selves, went to a world where magic was real, almost died-"
"Twice" I cut in Duncan's rant
"Twice!" He repeated, "what exactly have you done today!?"
"I made a sandwich, and thanks to you two, I require a new sandwich!" Me and duncan looked at each other confused.
"Oh" Duncan sighed, "is that where this came from?" And he pulled a sandwich out of his bag.
"Where did you get that?" I asked a little annoyed that during all that he had had time to pick up a random sandwich.
"My sandwich!" Simon squealed happily. He grabbed it and ran back to the kitchen to fix it. Leaving me and duncan to stare at each other a little confused.
"So...what now?" I aksed
"I've always wanted to build a teleporter"
"Sure that's not gonna end up like the time machine?"
"Don't worry about it, it'll be fine"

Simon's pov
I fixed my sandwich in the kitchen real quick then realized I had left the plate and the drink in the other room after I had chased after madrew. I turned to go get them, then stopped i put the sandwich in the fridge and then I picked up the corgi
"You're coming with me this time" he barked happily and tried to lick my face
"Okay, okay, enough of that!" I laughed. I returned and as I walked into the kitchen I stopped in my tracks and looked at lewis, eating my sandwich.
"Oh hey Simon, someone forgot to label their sandwich." Lewis said happily after swallowing his bite.
"I give up, come on mandrew, lets go eat somewhere else." I walked out.
"What, simon, where are you going!?"

Well I hope that was just as frustrating to read as it was to write, hopefully next chapter will be actual nanocoffee
