THREE

As Victoria stepped into the cozy chaos of the Burrow, she was immediately enveloped by the comforting smells of freshly baked bread and the faint tang of herbs drying above the stove. The mismatched furniture and cluttered walls were a stark contrast to the pristine halls of Kensington Palace, but they made her feel far more at home.

"Thank you so much for letting me come a few days early, Mrs. Weasley," Victoria said warmly as Molly bustled past her, rearranging cushions on the sagging sofa. "I couldn't bear another minute of formal dinners and lectures."

"Oh, nonsense, dear," Molly replied, waving her off with a smile. "We're always happy to have you. You're practically family at this point."

That simple statement made Victoria's heart swell. Being here—surrounded by the noise, warmth, and unconditional acceptance of the Weasleys—was a welcome reprieve from the pressures of royal life.

"And," she added with a grin, "I'm excited to spend a bit more time with Fred and George before school starts."

"Us?" Fred popped his head around the corner, an exaggerated look of surprise on his face. "The princess is excited to hang out with us? Did you hear that, George?"

George appeared beside him, leaning casually against the doorframe. "I heard, but I don't believe it. Surely she meant Percy. He's the fun one in the family."

Victoria rolled her eyes but laughed. "Of course I meant you two. Who else would I let drag me into mischief?"

"We do take pride in being excellent bad influences," George quipped, grinning as he grabbed an apple from the fruit bowl.

Fred leaned in conspiratorially. "Speaking of mischief... guess what we're doing tomorrow?"

Victoria tilted her head, intrigued. "What?"

"We're fetching Harry," George said, tossing the apple from hand to hand.

Her face lit up. "Oh, brilliant! I can't wait to see him."

Fred smirked. "We'll make a proper adventure of it. You're coming, of course."

"Of course," Victoria agreed.

The twins exchanged a glance, clearly pleased. George plopped down onto the worn sofa, patting the seat beside him. "Come on, Your Royal Highness, have a sit. We've got something to show you."

Victoria groaned but joined him on the sofa, leaning comfortably against his shoulder as Fred pulled out a rolled-up newspaper from under his arm. He smoothed it out dramatically and held it up for her to see.

There she was, plastered across the front page of the Daily Mail. The photograph showed her stepping out of the Bentley earlier that week, her royal smile firmly in place. The headline read: "Princess Victoria Grace: The Modern Royal".
