I feel like I keep repeating myself, but at the same time, I'm struggling to come up with new ideas. Another hurt/comfort one-shot from me, as usual. I know you're probably getting tired of it, but I just can't help myself 😭. I adore Redmore so much, but I get really anxious about writing them because I want to do Evermore's character justice. Does anyone have recommendations for Redmore fanfic writers? I'm in serious need of more stories with them. Anyway, as always, sorry for rambling. I'll let you read now!

Enjoy! :)
___The snow outside fell in delicate, swirling patterns, blanketing the earth beneath a soft, serene layer of white. The wind howled in the distance, but it was muffled by the thick walls of the house, cocooning the room in warmth. But despite the cozy ambiance, Red's restlessness refused to be quelled. Her brow furrowed in unease, her body shifting beneath the thick blankets, as though her mind couldn't find peace.
She had been asleep for hours, or at least she thought she had. Yet, something lingered—an invisible weight pressing down on her chest, refusing to let her truly relax.
In the dream, the world around her had started to fade, like an unforgiving snowstorm was closing in, erasing everything she had once known. The cold, bitter wind whipped around her, threatening to consume her entirely. She had been calling out to Evermore, her voice lost to the howling winds. Every syllable, every desperate cry, had vanished into the storm, swallowed by the void. She was alone, surrounded by the swirling, icy white. Or at least, she thought she was.
But then, Evermore's presence lingered. It was faint, like an echo of something once held so close. Still, no matter how hard Red tried, she couldn't bridge the gap between them. Her desperate footsteps fell into the endless snow, but the distance only seemed to widen. She reached out, her fingertips grazing at nothing but empty air. The ache in her chest deepened with every passing second, the sensation of losing Evermore unbearable. She called her name again, her voice breaking, her heart shattering.
"Evermore!" she cried, trembling, but the name was swallowed by the storm, lost to the chaos.
Just as the coldness began to suffocate her, Evermore appeared. But this time, she was different—frozen, motionless, like a statue caught in the unrelenting snow. Red staggered forward, her feet heavy, her breath short, desperate to reach her. But no matter how hard she pushed, she couldn't move any faster. The gap between them felt insurmountable. When Red finally collapsed to her knees, tears staining the snow beneath her, her hands stretched forward in a futile attempt to touch the person she loved. The silence enveloped them both, her heart breaking as the cold overwhelmed her.
And then, as if the cold had become too much to bear, Red woke.
---
Her eyes flew open, sharp gasps of breath cutting through the silence. The cold sweat on her skin made the warmth of the blankets feel like a distant memory. She sat up quickly, her chest tightening as if the air itself had thickened, heavy with dread. Her pulse raced, thoughts scattered, the remnants of the nightmare clinging to her, refusing to fade.
The room was dark, save for the faint glow of moonlight streaming through the window. The warmth of the blankets enveloped her, offering a distant comfort that couldn't ease the storm raging in her mind. She glanced at the clock on the nightstand: 3:42 AM. The numbers seemed to mock her, slipping away like seconds she couldn't afford. The silence felt suffocating. She was alone in the bed, but the emptiness around her was vast, filling the space, making her feel small, isolated. Evermore was down the hall, but that didn't change the gnawing unease inside.
