"You know Anthony LaRusso was staring at you the whole time, right?"
Once the girls make their way to the bus stop it is around 7:00 am which in their option is way too early to be on a bus full of crazy kids and this year since they had moved out of Reseda into a slightly bigger apartment, they were surrounded by rich kids who thought the world revolved around them. McKenzie hated these kinds of people she thought if you had money you didn't need to tell everyone about it or show it. but sadly, that all these kids did. the girls waited for the bus and talked a little more about school and debate until the bus finally arrived. The second Kenzie stepped onto the bus she noticed a boy who she recognized to be Anthony LaRusso, but it didn't look like Anthony LaRusso over the summer he had a huge glow up Anthony used to be a short, fat kid who was always attached to a screen of some sort playing a video game. But over the summer he had gotten much taller and had learned to dress, he also fixed his hair. Kenzie just looked at him as she walked down the aisle towards the back of the bus this was the first time in her life, she ever really noticed Anthony Larusso. and let's just say the feeling was mutual.
Anthony LaRusso had never really cared about girls or the way he looked but after his glow up this summer he had noticed a few girls at the pool or just around town, but he never really thought about it again but on the first day of school on the bus he noticed a girl and it really stuck with him. when Anthony had been getting ready that morning all he had been thinking about was meeting his friends on the bus and just hanging out with them. So, he wasn't listening to his parents or his siter during breakfast, but they didn't really care or notice he wasn't fully there and was just on his phone the whole time. finally he made his way to the bus stop in the cool California air he waited on his phone for a bit until the bus made its way to him, he hoped on the bus and meet his friends they spent the first bit of the rode talking and standing up playing games making fun of people and talking about their summers they were being really annoying but didn't seem to care . when the bus stopped in front of some apartments, and two girls got on Anthony took note of one of them almost instantly. he knew of the girl as McKenzie Lee she was kind of popular at school but somehow was always either alone or with her sister Anthony had seen her before sure but never really looked at her and when he did, he liked it. He had heard stuff about how she was good at art and was on the debate team for school but all he cared about was the fact that she was looking right at him just as he was looking at her. he quickly looked down and kept talking to his friends he didn't know what had come over him, but he tried to shake it off.
After a while the bus stopped again, and McKenzie wasn't really paying attention to the kids and was zoning out on her phone. But she looked up when the kids on the bus started laughing hard. she looked around and couldn't figure out what was so funny until Devon tapped her on the shoulder and pointed out the window. Kenzie's eyes landed upon and kid who was definitely new dancing at the bus stop not realizing that the whole bus full of kids was watching and laughing. he had his headphones on and was completely Unaware of what was going on behind his back. kids were poking their heads out the windows of the bus and laughing and pointing once the boy turned around, he quickly stopped dancing. and took off his headphones McKenzie felt bad for the new kid as he got onto the bus and instantly got ridiculed by a bunch of goons one of them being Anthony this made the feeling that Kenzie had earlier instantly disappear. the first kid to start in on Kenny was some kid with blonde curly hair.
"Nice moves, new kid. What do you call that the loser limbo?" he said while looking at the poor new kid who had lost any enthusiasm, he had prior to getting caught. After the boy's comment the whole bus laughed and snickered at the new kid. Then Anthony just had to speak and make things worse for the kid and himself in Kenzie's eyes.
"No, no, no, no. I think it's called the I'm trying not to shit my pants dance." he said standing up in his seat getting an even bigger reaction then the first boy. and as he looked around the one person, he wanted a reaction from wasn't giving him one. some kids on the bus congratulated Anthony on the words but he sank down into his seat not getting the reaction he wanted from Kenzie. the boy walked to the back of the bus and Kenzie decided to wave him over to her and her sister. She felt bad for the kid and had once been bullied by the rich kids too, so she knew how he felt. Devon hadn't even noticed the boy after he got on the bus, she was working on perfecting their speech for debate tonight so when he sat down next to the girls, she didn't even bat an eye.
"Hi, I'm McKenzie but everyone calls me Kenzie or Kenz, I saw what they said there just idoits who want to show everyone how much better they are then the rest of us since they are rich, I hate people who do stuff like that be rude to others just because they are different or think they are better." She introduced herself to the new kid who just looked at her in shock as she went off about how much she hates the kids who were making fun of him. He apricated this and really thought this girl was cool, she had defended him in a way and already hate annoying brats so he knew they would be friends he tried to think of something smart to say to the girl but all he ended up saying was.
"My names Kenny." inside he was beating himself up for not making a good first impression and not having anything good to say but Kenzie understood and just nodded and put her headphones back on. The rest of the bus ride was quite but the whole time Kenzie could feel a pair of eyes on her and Kenny but never cared enough to look up. Once the bus got to school Kenzie told Kenny where the office was and said goodbye. Then her and her sister headed into thew school to grab their schedules and while they were walking in Devon said.
"You know Anthony LaRusso was staring at you the whole time, right?" To this Kenzie stopped in her tracks and looked at her sister in disbelief.
"Very funny Devon." she responded not believing it for a second.
"Come on you know my Kenz I never joke about things that are true." and with that the girls made their way to first period Math which they had together. But Kenzie couldn't focus on school right know she was just thinking over what Devon had said.
Helloo how are you guys liking the story I'm lowkey gonna give Kenz Lias storyline but also not bc idk ab yall but i didn't really like Lia she was so pick me. and idk just off soo yea also devon and kenz are gonna join eagle fang soon so get hype! but yea tell me what you think so far:)
