The battlefield had devolved into absolute chaos. The new arrivals, combined with the relentless antics of the Gremlins, were pushing everything into pure madness. As the sun sank lower into the purple-hued sky, it seemed like no one would be safe from the ever-escalating insanity.
Led by the wickedly grinning Stripe, the Gremlins had decided to spread their mayhem even further. They charged en masse toward the groups of families who had, until now, been catching their breath—The Simpsons, The Wilkersons, and The Heffleys. Like a swarm of tiny, cackling demons, the Gremlins tore through everything in their path.
Homer Simpson, not exactly known for quick thinking, stood in a panic as a group of Gremlins began yanking at his clothes, pulling on his sleeves and ruffling his hair.
"AHHH!! MARGE, THEY'RE EVERYWHERE! GET 'EM OFF ME!!" Homer shouted, swatting at the little monsters with one hand while clutching a half-eaten donut in the other.
Marge, ever practical, grabbed a broom and started whacking Gremlins off her husband, though they kept crawling back like gremlins on caffeine. "Stay away from my Homie!" she cried, determined to protect her family.
Meanwhile, Bart was having the time of his life. "This is awesome!" he shouted as he used his skateboard to dodge and trick a few Gremlins, launching them into trash cans. The Wilkerson boys, Reese and Malcolm, joined in the chaos, throwing rocks and sticks at the mischievous creatures, but it was like trying to stop a tidal wave with a beach ball.
Lois Wilkerson, never one to back down, grabbed one of the Gremlins by the neck. "YOU ARE GETTING GROUNDED, YOUNG MISTER!!" she screamed, shaking it furiously. The Gremlin, however, just laughed hysterically in her face.
As for Greg Heffley, he was hiding behind a bush, scribbling frantically in his diary. "This is... the worst day of my life," Greg muttered under his breath, while Rodrick was busy trying to catch one of the Gremlins to prank Manny later.
On the other side of the battlefield, Elliot and E.T. had finally found a moment of peace. They had joined up with a few others who seemed more inclined to survive than to fight—Elmo, Harry Potter, and Charlie Bucket—who were huddled in a small clearing, trying to figure out what to do next.
"I don't think we're in the right place, E.T!" Elliot said nervously, glancing around at the madness surrounding them. He wasn't sure how they had ended up in this bizarre, unpredictable world, but it was definitely not home.
E.T., still clutching his glowing finger, simply looked at him with wide eyes and muttered, "Home...?"
As the group settled into their temporary hideout, they quickly realized they were not alone. Much to their dismay, Douglas Fir—the animatronic singing Christmas tree—was there too, along with Big Mouth Billy Bass. Both of them seemed oblivious to the chaos, content to sing their endlessly repetitive songs.
Douglas Fir's eyes blinked as his mechanical mouth moved to the tune of "O Christmas Tree," while Billy Bass flopped in rhythm, singing "Take Me To The River".
Elmo, ever the optimist, clapped his hands. "Elmo loves singing!"
Harry, however, was visibly annoyed, holding his wand up and debating whether or not to cast a silencing spell on the two. "If I hear that tree sing one more time..."
Meanwhile, the Gremlins were still running wild, tearing through everything and everyone in their path. But they hadn't counted on running into someone who thrived in chaos just as much as they did—Bugs Bunny.
With a carrot in hand and a grin on his face, Bugs casually sauntered up to the Gremlins, unbothered by their destructive antics. "Eh, what's up, Gremlins?" he quipped, barely dodging a flying object thrown his way.
The Gremlins, initially confused by Bugs' nonchalance, snarled and charged toward him. But Bugs was ready. With his signature cool, he set up an elaborate series of wacky traps and pranks.
One Gremlin lunged at Bugs, only to trip over a conveniently placed banana peel. Another was hit with a pie straight to the face, and yet another found itself stuck inside a rabbit-shaped hole Bugs had somehow dug in record time.
As Stripe tried to lead his army toward Bugs, Bugs pulled out a giant mallet from seemingly nowhere and gave Stripe a good whack on the head, sending him spinning like a top.
"That's all, folks!" Bugs quipped, lounging on a nearby rock as he watched the Gremlins stumble around in confusion, tangled up in his pranks.
While Bugs played his chaotic games with the Gremlins, Danny Torrance, Wendy Torrance, and Cole Sear were having a very different experience. The three stood apart from the chaos, their faces pale as they stared into the distance, their minds consumed by visions only they could see.
Danny's Shining abilities were kicking in at full force. He could see horrific flashes of the past and future, ghostly figures and strange images flickering in and out of view. His hands trembled as the visions came faster and more intensely.
"Mommy... do you see it?" Danny whispered, his voice trembling as he clung to Wendy's arm. "Something... bad is coming."
Wendy's face was drawn tight with fear. She could feel it too, though she wasn't quite sure what it was—only that the world around them was far darker than it seemed.
Cole, standing nearby, looked haunted as well. His face was pale as he whispered, "I see can dead people..." His eyes darted around the battlefield, seeing things no one else could—ghosts wandering through the chaos, unseen by the others but terrifyingly real to him.
Back in the heat of the Gremlin attack, The Simpsons, The Wilkersons, The Heffleys, and Bugs Bunny were still under siege. Despite Bugs' best efforts, the sheer number of Gremlins was overwhelming, and they seemed ready to continue their chaotic rampage without end.
But then, from the sky, a new hero descended. The White Bellbird, its snowy feathers gleaming in the dim light, swooped down with a piercing cry. With no warning, the bird unleashed its infamous shriek, the loudest call of any bird in the world.
"SHRIIIIIIIEEEK!!!"
The sound was deafening. The entire battlefield seemed to shake from the sheer volume, and the gremlins immediately clutched their ears in agony. Stripe's evil grin turned into a grimace as he and his horde were forced to stop their rampage, stunned and disoriented by the unbearable noise.
Homer, still swatting at the few Gremlins clinging to his leg, blinked in confusion as the chaos came to a sudden halt. "What the...?"
Bugs grinned, popping up from behind a rock. "Woah, what a nice birdie ya got there!"
The White Bellbird, pleased with its work, circled above the battlefield before landing gracefully on a nearby tree, watching the stunned Gremlins scatter in confusion.
With the Gremlins temporarily incapacitated by the Bellbird's deafening cry, the battlefield grew quiet—at least for the moment. The families caught their breath, finally able to take a break from the relentless assault. Bugs Bunny leaned back, satisfied with his work, while Homer and Earl exchanged a relieved look.
"Phew... that was close," Earl muttered, still shaking a dazed Gremlin off his arm.
Lois Wilkerson, her hands still clenched into fists, nodded firmly. "We need a plan. This can't go on forever."
But as the survivors regrouped and the Gremlins slowly recovered from the Bellbird's attack, a new sense of dread began to settle over the battlefield. The visions that had haunted Danny, Wendy, and Cole still lingered in the air, and something darker was stirring in the distance.
