Jeongin loved Minho. He really did. But sometimes, his hyung was just too much.
"Aw, baby bread's looking so cute today," Minho cooed one morning, ruffling Jeongin's hair as if he were a puppy.
"I'm not a baby!" Jeongin snapped, swatting Minho's hand away.
Minho just grinned. "Sure, sure, whatever you say, innie-pinnie baby."
Jeongin gritted his teeth. He loved Minho, but he hated being babied. And no matter how many times he tried to assert himself, Minho always smirked like Jeongin was some kind of adorable little gremlin.
That's when Jeongin decided he'd had enough. His birthday was coming up, and this year? He was going to prove to Minho—and everyone else—that he was no baby.
The night of Jeongin's birthday, the dorm was buzzing with energy. The members had thrown him a surprise party, complete with cake, balloons, and questionable singing from Changbin.
"Speech, speech!" Jisung chanted, and Jeongin smiled, soaking in the attention.
"Thanks, everyone," Jeongin said, raising his glass of cola. "I feel so lucky to have you all." His eyes landed on Minho, who was smirking at him as usual. "Especially you, hyung."
Minho blinked. "Me? What'd I do?"
Jeongin's smile turned mischievous. "Oh, you'll see."
Later that night, after the others had gone to bed, Jeongin found Minho lounging on the couch, scrolling through his phone. Perfect timing.
"Hyung," Jeongin said, his voice softer than usual as he approached.
Minho looked up, raising an eyebrow. "What's up, baby bread?"
Jeongin ignored the nickname and plopped down beside him, leaning a little closer than normal. "I wanted to thank you for the party," he said, his voice low and smooth.
Minho glanced at him, clearly suspicious. "Uh... okay. You're welcome?"
Jeongin smiled sweetly. Then, without warning, he reached out and booped Minho's nose. "Boop," he said, his tone teasing.
Minho froze. "What the—what are you doing?"
"Just showing my appreciation," Jeongin replied innocently, but his eyes sparkled with mischief.
Minho narrowed his eyes. "You're acting weird."
"Oh, am I?" Jeongin leaned in closer, his face just inches from Minho's. "Maybe I'm just growing up, hyung." His breath ghosted over Minho's ear as he whispered, "Do I still seem like a baby to you?"
Minho visibly gulped, his ears turning red. "W-what are you doing?"
Jeongin didn't stop there. He brushed his thumb over Minho's bottom lip, his gaze steady and confident. "Your lips look so soft, hyung," he murmured, enjoying the way Minho's eyes widened in panic.
"Jeongin, stop," Minho said, his voice cracking slightly.
"Why?" Jeongin asked, his hand sliding down to rest lightly on Minho's waist. He gave a playful squeeze. "Am I making you nervous?"
Minho was definitely nervous now. His usual teasing demeanor was nowhere to be found. "I—I don't know what you're trying to do, but—"
"You always call me a baby," Jeongin interrupted, his tone playful yet firm. "But I think you're the one who can't handle me, hyung."
Minho opened his mouth to respond, but nothing came out. He was completely flustered, his face bright red.
Jeongin smirked, finally pulling back. "Thanks for the party, hyung," he said casually, standing up and stretching. "Goodnight."
Minho stared after him, still too stunned to speak.
As Jeongin walked away, he couldn't help but grin to himself. Mission accomplished
a short update!
