Title: Forced Marriage (1)

🌷🌷🌷

The atmosphere in the Choi residence was tense as Seungcheol sat across from his parents, his jaw clenched in defiance. "I'm not doing this," he said firmly. "I won't marry someone I don't know or love." His father, the powerful CEO of Choi Enterprises, leaned back in his chair, his eyes cold and calculating.

"This isn't about love, Seungcheol," his father said sharply. "This is about securing our future. The merger with Y/N’s family is critical to the company's survival."

"I don't care about the company!" Seungcheol exploded, rising from his seat. "I won't throw away my life for your business deals."

His mother spoke then, her voice calm but laced with a warning. "If you refuse, you will lose everything—your inheritance, your position, your future in this family. Think carefully, Seungcheol."

Meanwhile, at Y/N's house, a similar scene played out. Y/N shook her head, her voice trembling with anger. "I’m not some pawn you can trade for your business! I have dreams, a life I want to live."

Her father’s face darkened. "Your dreams won’t matter if we lose everything. Do you want to see our family ruined?"

Her mother chimed in, her tone softer but just as insistent. "This marriage is not just about us, Y/N. It’s about protecting our legacy. If you refuse, we will cut you off completely. Is that what you want?"

Both Seungcheol and Y/N were backed into corners, their protests met with threats that left them no choice. Their mutual rejection of the idea meant nothing in the face of their families’ relentless determination. And so, despite their vehement objections, the marriage was set, with both feeling betrayed and trapped in a union neither wanted.

The grand wedding had ended, leaving behind the weight of vows neither Seungcheol nor Y/N wanted to make. They’d exchanged rings and smiles for the cameras, but their eyes betrayed the anger and resentment simmering beneath. Now, as they stepped into their new home—large, sterile, and utterly unfamiliar—the tension snapped like a rubber band stretched too far.

Now, hours later, they arrived at the luxury penthouse that was to be their new home. As soon as the door shut behind them, the suffocating tension exploded. Seungcheol turned, his expression thunderous. “I hope you’re happy,” he spat, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

Y/N, already exhausted and emotionally drained, looked at him incredulously. “Happy? You think I asked for this?”

“This is ridiculous!” he shouted, his voice echoing in the spacious living room. “Do you have any idea what you’ve done to my life?”

Y/N blinked, taken aback by his sudden outburst. “What I’ve done?” she snapped back, her anger flaring. “Do you think I wanted this? I was forced into this just as much as you were!”

Seungcheol let out a cold laugh, running a hand through his perfectly styled hair, now slightly disheveled. “Why wouldn’t you? You get the perfect little life now, don’t you? Married to the great Choi Seungcheol. Meanwhile, my life gets turned upside down because of this farce.”

Her temper flared at his arrogance. “Don’t flatter yourself,” she snapped, stepping closer. “You think this is some fairy tale for me? I didn’t want this marriage any more than you did! But your parents—and mine—didn’t exactly give us a choice.”
