Title: Only Yours

🌷🌷🌷

The announcement of SEVENTEEN’s collaboration stage with one of the most popular girl groups in the industry, Starlight, had fans buzzing with excitement. You were happy for Joshua, of course. It was a big opportunity, and he was thrilled about the chance to work with talented artists outside his group.

But when the performance aired, your excitement quickly turned into something else—something bitter, sharp, and undeniably ugly.

You sat cross-legged on the couch, watching the collaboration stage on your TV. Joshua was his usual charismatic self, his smile lighting up the screen as he performed flawlessly. What you hadn’t expected, however, was the level of chemistry between him and one of Starlight’s members.

She was stunning, no doubt about it, and her presence on stage was magnetic. But When the performance ended, social media exploded. Clips of Joshua and the girl group member circulated rapidly, with fans dubbing them “the perfect pair.”

You tried to brush it off, telling yourself it was just part of the job. But The rumors started when behind-the-scenes clips surfaced online. One video, in particular, gained traction: it showed Joshua and her during a break, sitting together on the edge of the stage. She laughed at something he said, lightly nudging his shoulder. He smiled back, the kind of smile that had always felt so personal to you.

Fans and media outlets wasted no time dissecting the interaction.

“Joshua and Minji spotted looking cozy behind the scenes!”
“Is there something brewing between SEVENTEEN’s gentleman and Starlight’s sweetheart?”
“They’re so comfortable together—it’s hard not to ship them!”

You couldn’t escape it. Every scroll through social media brought more speculation, more clips, and more fans fanning the flames of a nonexistent romance.

The comments made it worse:
“They have such great chemistry!”
“I’m shipping them so hard right now!”
“Can they just date already?”
“They’d make such a cute couple!”
“They look perfect together!”

Perfect together. That phrase echoed in your mind. It wasn’t jealousy, was it? You trusted Joshua implicitly. He’d never given you a reason to doubt him. But watching that video, with the way it seemed to frame them like a romantic drama scene, stirred an unexpected insecurity in you.

When Joshua arrived home that evening, his energy was as bright as ever. He kicked off his shoes, dropping his bag by the door, and headed straight for the couch where you were curled up with your phone.

“Hey, love,” he greeted, leaning down to kiss your forehead. “What have you been up to?”

You hesitated, your eyes fixed on your screen. “Just… scrolling.”

Joshua picked up on your tone immediately. His eyes narrowed slightly, and he perched himself on the edge of the couch, reaching for your phone. “What’s got you so serious?”

You tried to pull the phone away, but he was faster, plucking it from your hands and glancing at the paused video on the screen. His expression shifted as he played it, watching himself and Minji from the behind-the-scenes clip that had gone viral.

The video ended, and he glanced at you, an amused smile playing on his lips. “Is this what’s bothering you?”

You avoided his gaze, fiddling with the hem of your sweater. “It’s not bothering me. It’s just… people are saying things.”
