You didn't go with Hobin but talked to the woman who was here to pick him up. "How can we trust you? That you're not with Jinho?" You crossed your arms in defense, glaring at her. You didn't want Hobin to be in danger.

"I think your friend can explain. Don't worry, I'll bring him back here on my own."

Chewing on your lip as the boy with the bowl haircut nodded his head, then told you not to worry as he got in the car, you sighed out, walking back inside to take your items then leave.

There was a chilly silence, not one single person outside, not even car tires screeching against the roads were heard. You could make out your own breathing, the sounds of your shoes on the ground and the way your clothes and bag rattled as you did so.

Your phone buzzed so you took it out from your pocket, the bright screen being the only source of light in the darkness that evolved your area. The night roaches made that annoying noise as you picked up.

It was Gyeoul, requesting you to come over to her place because Wangguk wanted to check up on you...but that was a lie, she just wanted to see you.

Agreeing because you didn't wanna drown in loneliness at home, you changed directions to the live location that was sent to you and you knew where she lived so you could testify that it wasn't someone else...

The door was already slid open when you climbed the stone stairs up to their little flat, the yellow light shooting from the inside along with screams from Gyeoul and Wangguks conversation with her.

"Knock knock"

You mimicked the noise, knocking at the same time with a smile on your face from the warmth their home emitted. "Oh! Y/nie, took ya long enough!! Wangguk made ramen so get inside quickly."

Laughing as you took your shoes off, you took the invite, sitting down at the dinner table with the siblings. "So, how are you two doing? Mentally?" Wangguk nodded his head and Gyeoul complained that she wanted to buy something but couldn't or whatever.

"We're doing alright. What about you Y/n? Are you okay?"

"Mhm..."

"Blerghh, what's with the sad mood all of the sudden! Big bro! Bring the consoles out, imma gonna beat Y/ns ass in a fight!"

"Like hell you would, you tiny shrimp!"

"Who're you calling a tiny shrimp!! You're the tiny shrimp!!"

The older boy felt his lips curl up in a smile, his heart warming up at the way you treated his little sister. She was his life, the only reason he kept going. And you saved his life. You saved her from a dumb decision she was gonna take for attention and even got angry at her, scolding her in the heat of the moment.

Wangguk could never know how to thank you. He'd do it everyday until the day he died. You were an angel, one sent from heaven to guard his life. Maybe it was exaggerated, but Wangguk admires you. You took care of your friends, your unshakeable personality and the way you didn't allow others to walk over the people you loved.
