But this was going to take a while. The castle was massive and had lots of rooms where Isabelle could be. But to do something, you have to start.

He left the maid's room and entered the dark endless corridor, this reminded him of something.

He started walking down it, stopping at each door he saw.

Whenever he wanted to see what was inside a room, he used Dark Matter to absorb and sound, just in case there was someone inside. There were times were he almost screwed up, but he hadn't got caught just yet.

"Max? Why are you awake at such a late hour?"

Luckily this was just one of his fellow female maids, she also looked not fully awake, he got lucky this time.

'I was... um going to the bathroom.'

"But the bathroom is the other way."

Max smiled nervously.

'Ah really, I'm new here so that's why I don't know. But thank you!'

"Alright, but go to sleep after. We don't want to anger master."

Then she left. Now it was time to get back to work...

Room after room, floor after floor, he checked them all. He had found many interesting things, like the stronger you are the higher your room is. And how this place also had a dungeon that was full of human remains after they were eaten alive by rats, it was truly disgusting to see. Even the bones had cracks in them, they were murdered without any mercy. Each room was customer-decorated to fit each general's preferences.

He chuckled uncomfortably as he looked at the room of the old man he had served for the whole day. It was filled with posters of elves and demon girls. Some more mature than others...

He only had two rooms left, but he had already lost hope of finding his sister, she was probably being kept in the Demon Continent.

He went to the second to last door and opened it. It was just a normal room? This was the highest floor, the place where the strongest generals were, was a general really this normal? Hard to believe. There also wasn't anyone inside.

So with no luck yet again he argued if he should go inside the last room. There was no way she was going to be inside, this was the last door On the highest floor. And it was safer to leave now...

But what if she was inside, if he left without checking and she really was inside he would hate himself. He had to check.

So he reached for the handle, this was it, if she was here it would all become worth it, if she wasn't it was all a big waste of time.

His hand was shaking and his eyes were filled with hope, the same hope that was with him since he was a powerless child.

With the corner of his eye, he notices a spark of blue lightning... but he hadn't used his BL? His eyes widened, as he turned his head to see where it came from. It was him, the reason why he was sent to jail and he had to change his path.

"You know you should just enter people's rooms without permission."

He said with a smug look on his face.

"I've been watching you since you came to this continent."

Max gave him a smile back before trying to run away, but he was outspeed and hit towards the wall. He couldn't just run away, he had to create an opening. But this guy wasn't giving him a chance to breathe, good thing he had his dark matter absorbing some of the damage, or else he would have been dead a long time ago. This was a battle of speed versus endurance.

This guy hadn't changed at all. His blue hair was as majestic as always and his eyes emitted a feeling of death.

His attack could hardly be seen, this was the speed of the Blue Lightning Dragon, the right hand of the Dragon King, the strongest general of the Dragon King's army. The Reaper Of Humanity.

They clashed.

"Your Azel's vessel right? You want to know why what happened to the other? I killed them all With my own two hands!"

'Shut up!'

Those words clearly angered Max, as he backed away from the clash.

He created some tentacles from the dark matter and used them to attack the reaper, but the baster was dodging them with a smile on his face. But as he was concentrating on evading them they suddenly stopped and Max was nowhere to be seen.

But instead of being mad, the reaper laughed.

"Well then, see you on the battlefield... Max Solutus. The war is already ready to commence, there's nothing you can do, I'll be hunting you so be ready. You will die by my hands, that is fated to happen."
