Love Against All Odds

Chapter 4: The Gun

Pogues pov:
The pogues get the motel key and start heading to the motel. The motel looks awful and broken. "Whooh and I thought the chateau looked bad" JJ says.
"This place is a shit show" says John B.
"Motel or meth lab?" Kie says.
"You be the judge" says Pope
"Doesn't look like the type of place someone with a trash white would stay" John B says.
"No it looks like the type of place somebody with a Grady white would get killed" Pope exclaims.
They pull up to the motel and John B and JJ get out of the boat. JJ and John B walks up to the door. "Housekeeping" JJ says in a really high pitched voice. When there is no answer John B puts the key in the door and opens the door. They walk in there is stuff everywhere and a duffel bag on the bed. John B finds a safe while JJ is also looking for anything. JJ finds a map with an X on it. He knows it's not a fishing spot because of how strong the currents are. John B notices what JJ is invested in and hopes over to him while he's over there he notices a sticky note under the phone. He pulls it out and sees a code "61666" it reads. John B goes and tries it on the safe and to his surprise it opened.

Outside with Kie and Pope they are talking when all of a sudden the cops pull up. They realize that they are going to the room that you are in. They go up to the window and start trying to throw rocks at it at first Pope tries and misses. Kie says "Have you ever played baseball before?"
Pope responds with "I was on the math team!" Kie and Pope keep trying.

JJ comes over and sees the gun he immediately takes it out as long as some money and starts playing with it. They hear some ruckus from outside and look out the window to see the police coming they realize quickly climb out of the window. They stand on the ledge of the roof and are holding on for dear life. The cops enter the room and take everything including some money from the safe. As they are doing this the gun falls out of JJ's pocket and makes a really loud noise as it hits the ground. The cops come look out the window but they don't see anything. Eventually the cops leave and JJ and John B get back in the boat and they take off.

"Did you find anything? Pope asks
"Oh did we find anything!" JJ says as he pulls out the gun and the wad of money from the safe. John B looks clearly pissed as well as the rest.
"YOU TOOK THAT FROM A CRIME SCENE?!" Pope yells. JJ just shrugs it off and keeps the gun and money.

They get back to the chateau and come up with a plan to look in the boat especially since they found out it was Scooter Grubb's boat and he was always poor and then all of a sudden had a Grady white. John B works at the Camerons and hates and despises them. He comes up with a plan to steal the scuba gear from the My Druthers and use it to search the boat. They all agree to the plan and start infighting out ways to initiate it.
