CHAPTER 2

[16:00 pm, Chikyu POV]

Finally. This is my great time to give her a present. Without wasting my time, I left the class, ignoring my students who are saying goodbye at me.

Chikyu's mind : "(Wait for me, Tomoe.)"

I walk to the parking lot and then notices something strange. Smokes?

Oh... that came from my car. It's broken, right...? I open the front bonet, only to see smokes coming out from my car.

Chikyu : "Smokes."

I have no time for this, so I just left my broken car there, running to the Space Cafe where Tomoe works at. I can't waste my time. Yes, I know my car is important, but...

My sunshine is the most important thing in my life. Even though she doesn't know how much I love her.

Does she thinks the same way I do? I want... to know.

[Tomoe POV]

Looks like Chikyu already finished with his work today. Hmm, right! I want to hang out with him! Besides, there aren't many customers in this cafe! Good timing!

Tomoe : "Haru-senpai, can I go home early today?"

I look over the middle-age man, Haru Eiko, with a smile on my face. Haru-senpai is the owner of Space Cafe, and I can say I'm close with him even though he's a serious person and I'm kind of a stupid person.

Haru looks over me for a moment before he turns his gaze to his phone screen.

Haru : "Sure. You can go now."

I don't waste my time much. I took my bag on the chair and I say goodbye to all my colleagues.

I can't wait to see Chikyu!

I walk out of the cafe, only to see Chikyu who's running towards me. He soon stops right beside me, panting heavily. He takes off his glasses and looks at me with his usual cold look.

Tomoe : "Chikyu! I was about to-"

Chikyu : "I'm sorry, Tomoe."

Tomoe : "Eh?"

I glance over Chikyu with confusion. Why... are you apologizing to me? You never did anything wrong at all.

Tomoe : "You.... why?"

Chikyu : "I'm sorry for... snapping at you earlier. You must be so upset. I know it. Here, I bought this... saturn keychain for you as a token of sorry."

He extends his hand, showing a purple saturn keychain. So... he still remembers that I love saturn in purple colour. You're so... nice, Chikyu.

But I'm not upset at all.

I take the keychain on his palm looking down at it while smiling.

Tomoe : "Thanks, but... you didn't do anything wrong. It was actually my fault for not being focus in my work. So, you don't need to apologize."

His eyes widens before his face turns into the usual cold look.

Chikyu : "Let's just act like... no one is at fault here."

I just nod.

Tomoe : "So, how about we hang out together? Hmm... where's your car?"

Chikyu : "It's broken. Forget about that. I prefer... walking. Let's go."

He takes my hand and start walking to wherever he wants to go. He never asks me where I want to go... never. I know he's nervous. He wants to ask, but he doesn't have courage to do it. That's my other reasons why I like Chikyu. He may be cold...

But he's a softie and kind.

I decide not to speak as we both walk on the streets together while holding hands. I feel safe.

[Chikyu POV]

Tomoe... I'm sorry. I can't be a perfect man for you. I can't even ask you what you want or where you want to go. I want to ask... but I don't have any courage... I'm sorry. I'm such a terrible man.

Forgive me, will you? My sunshine?

We both arrive at the familiar park. To our surprise, this place is full of lights. Colourful lights.

I look over Tomoe, who's admiring the lights. She's so pretty... Her long brown hair with pink shades on it, her pink eyes, her white, fair skin... I love her.

Right place, right timing.

Go for it, Chikyu. Confess your true feelings to her. If you hide this forever... maybe someone will snatch her away from you.

Chikyu : "Tomoe."

Tomoe looks over me while raising an eyebrow.

Tomoe : "Yes?"

Chikyu : "You're the Earth. I'm the moon. Moon will forever surround Earth nonstop and it will... protect Earth forever."

Tomoe : "Hmm? Oh!"

Noticing that she just realized what does I mean, I take her hands in mine, caressing it softly with my thumbs.

Chikyu : "I... love you, Tomoe. I want us to be together and forever, like Earth and moon."

Does she loves me too...?

[Tomoe POV]

I blush slightly after I heard that. He... loves me. He did... all this time. Finally... I got the answer that I wanted from the start.

Before I know it, I'm crying so sudden. These tears... are filled with happiness.

Chikyu : "Tomoe?"

Tomoe : "...I love you too, Chikyu. I have loved you from the start, until now. But I'm not sure how to confess... I-"

He suddenly pressed his lips on mine without letting me finish my words first. His eyes are closed as he moves his hand to my waist, and the other is on the back of my head to deepens the kiss.

I slowly wrapping my arms around his neck, kissing him back with full of love. My first kiss... with my first crush, my first love. This is the greatest happiness I've ever had in my life.

I love you, my snow.
