The fear

Devika's POV

As soon as the door opened I bobbed my head up and noticed a tall man dressed in royal clothes with a noticeable aura....shit it's Rooh's brother

I immediately looked down but he had already looked at me in the eye. He averted his gaze and said something to Rooh in a hushed voice and left from the room.

"Chal Hume bhi neeche chalna chahiye" said Rooh and held my arm.

"Nahin abhi hum thodi Der baad jayenge" i said in a scared voice.

"Arrey yaar tu itna darti kyun hai mere bhai se..voh tujhe kha thodi jayenge" Rooh laughed it off.

Both of us went downstairs and sat with the elders for sometime. We had the brunch but I couldn't ignore the wierd feelings. I had known him since childhood but had started feeling weirdly now.

Agastya's POV

I entered my house  after a very busy week. I had to handle court work as we had not established a very powerful empire yet. I caught site of the Nandi's and greeted them. They were our family friends since our ancestors had known each other and we also have a politic relationship.

I went upstairs to my room but heard the sound of her anklets from the adjacent room.

She has turned into my weakness. I had known her since she was a child and had started having unusual sensations around her. I tried to brush off that feeling but couldn't. Her innocent smile and sparkling eyes had me on my knees for her.

I am trying to figure out my feelings since 5 years but I don't know what happens to me as soon as I see her. Not being able to resist her gravity, I pulled the door Knob and she looked up.

"BHAIYAA" screamed Rooh because my arrival was extremely unexpected as I had a busy schedule.

Our eyes met, her shiny eyes staring into mine with nothing but innocense. I couldn't help the smile that was making it's way to my lips. I immediately straightened up and we broke the eye contact. I leaned in and whispered in Rooh's ears to come for brunch quickly.

I left the room and went to freshen up. It was 2 in the afternoon and I had a hectic schedule after 5. I went downstairs after changing my clothes and ate with everyone.

We sure belonged to a royal family but all of us ate together and did not think of ourself as superior. I never liked to neglect my family and specially my little sister because I was had to be the guiding light in the family.

Everyone in Devgarh were considered a priority whether rich or poor.

While eating I glanced at her from time to time. Her presence had really started affecting me in a way I could never imagine. I think I.. I liked her. I don't know how that happened but I had never noticed a girl in my entire life but I started noticing every action made by her.

She looked up at me and our eyes met once again. She nervously looked down.
I know she is scared of me. I don't know why but I find it adorable. She is the cutest.

What is happening to me? I was never like this. God!!

I felt after finishing food as soon as possible because I was feeling very unusual sensations around her.

I reached the gathering and everyone stood up to wish me. I sat on the throne and started the discussions about the development of the city. It is not easy to be a ruler. Specially because the kingdom is new and it was last ruled by my grandfather. After him the responsibility was on me as my father could not handle the while empire. We had less resources but had to pave our way.

This was another reason I should not be distracted by Devika. If I keep my responsibilities in the back seat the empire could never florish. But I could not handle the emotions in me as they had started affecting me more than they should.

At the end of the day I was a human who couldn't comprehend why I had started feeling so. This feeling is beautiful but at the same time it is complicated. May God give me some way to untangle this mystery of heart.
