Asakusa was a lively city.

Bright loud fluorescent lights flashed everywhere, multiple nobori hung up with big bold letters printed as men and women walked among the crowded streets.

It was a very modernized city and anyone that lived or visited were in positive awe by the architecture and use of modern technology.

Well, except for Tanjiro.

He had arrived at Asakusa after two days of travel and was immediately overwhelmed by the sheer brightness and noise of the city.

Also due to the great amount of people out and about in the streets his nose picked up all sorts of smells, which was extremely overpowering to the boy's senses. If it wasn't for the hand that his own encompassed he felt like he could faint.

'What kind of town is this?! It's night, but it's so bright out! Are the cities this advanced now?'

The sound of the bustling street continued as all he could do was stand in awe in a total state of shock.

'The buildings are so tall! What is this?'

More noise.

'The cities...the cities-'

His thoughts were cut off by the sound of blaring and he turned to see a large vehicle which passed by with bright lights shooting out of it connected to a railway.

It was truly too much.

Tanjiro lifted the scarf on his neck to make a hood of sorts to block out whatever he could of the active city.

"I'm getting dizzy..." he mumbled as he pulled Nezuko's hand and moved towards an alleyway. "Uh, let's go that way, Nezuko!"

The siblings entered the alleyway but Tanjiro froze when they came across a couple kissing. The boy furiously blushed before apologizing and running off with his sister.

No matter where they ran in the city, it was loud and colorful and bright. Tanjiro's senses were going haywire and although he was supposed to meet up with his mission partner he kept running in hope that they'd find a quieter area.

'I was told that I would find my mission partner in a quiet location. I should keep looking'

Luckily for him, he did.

In a quieter, darker part of the city, the pair came across an udon stand with a lone man enjoying his peace and quiet with a pipe.

Tanjiro could cry at the immediate lack of anything overwhelming around him. His nose only picked up the scent of udon, smoke and Nezuko.

Compared to the city, this was paradise.

"Excuse me..."

His tone came out sluggish but he quickly scanned the menu before the man turned to him, almost surprised to see him. Maybe he looked like he was from out of town or maybe he hadn't expected any customers at this time of night. Tanjiro didn't know.

"A bowl of yamakake udon please," he said as politely as he could in his current state. The shopkeeper stuttered out a "sure thing" before getting into his cart to prepare the boy's meal.

Tanjiro and Nezuko went over to a nearby bench, but as he was about to sit down a voice rang out.

"Watch it."

Tanjiro whipped his head back and to his surprise, a person was in the spot he was about to sit on.

The boy noted how they looked small with a floral self made haori that covered their face due to the hood that was fashionable attached to the haori itself.
