I thought I had it all figured out,
But life unfolds in ways that doubt
The certainty I once held near—
It's clear now how little I know, my fear.

The contrast sharp, so vivid, bright,
From past vibrance to current night,
A heaviness weighs where joy once danced,
Caught in emotions, raw and unbalanced.

I long to scream, to let it all go,
A cry for release from the depths below.
Unspoken thoughts, a tangled stream,
Yearning for solace, for peace to redeem.

Perhaps in words, or through a friend,
Or in creation, I'll find the end.
Acknowledging this, I take the first stride,
To heal, to understand, to no longer hide.
