Chapter 9

Aaliyah's POV

It has been about 2 months since Connor and I have started talking and it has been the best 2 months of my life. We have hung out all day everyday since the day we met. We get along very well and I can tell things are going to work out for us in the end. I am still waiting for him to ask me out because we still haven't kissed or even held hands. I can tell he is one of the guys who likes to take things slow and I like that in a guy because who wants kids at 16? no one thats who. But he is taking me on a date tonight and I have no idea where we are going because he won't tell me. Rude right? I should probably ask him how to dress because god knows I won't dress right!

Me: hey! What should I wear to this date that you still won't tell me about?

Connor: dress casual and I feel as if you're mad I won't tell you 😂

Me: no... I'm not (note sarcasm)☺️

Connor: I'll be at your house at 6!

By now it was 3 so I decided to take a nap until 4:30.

When I woke up, I realized it wasn't 4:30. It was 5:00 so I was already running late. As usual! I jumped into the shower and decided to take a quick one because I'm going to curl my hair. After I got out, I chose to wear a floral sun dress that went just above my knee an some black sandals. For makeup, I am just going to keep it light with some powder and mascara. After that I started curling my hair. By now it was 6:57 so I went to the living room to wait for Connor. About 5 minuets later I hear the door bell.
"Wow you look great" Connor says. "Thank you. You don't look to bad yourself" I said jokingly. Connor keeps looking at the ground so I'm going to ask him why. "Connor, why are you acting different tonight? You haven't even looked straight at me yet. And you always look at people when you interact with them. So whats wrong?" "It's something very stupid, you wouldn't understand" he says as he frowns.  "Please tell me. You can tell me anything" I say assuring him. "I'll tell you about it after our date. I don't want it to affect our date in a bad way" he says finally looking at me. "Can you possibly smile for me? it would make me happy!" I tried getting him to smile with all of the strength I have. Because come on, I have no strength as is! "I will always smile for you" as he smiles. "See that? That's how I want to always see you, happy." 

The date went on and he took me to the beach and we walked around for a little while then we sat and talked on the beach.  Then I got hungry. When am I not? Never. That's when. We went to this taco truck and I got 2 soft tacos with only beef and cheese. Connor got 4 tacos with everything on it. He can eat for an army! As we are sitting on the beach eating, I couldn't take it anymore so I asked him what was bothering him. "Connor you need to tell me what is wrong.  I know you are just fake smiling and you could be having fun but I don't know. So please tell me. I want to help" everything just came out at once and I don't even know what I just said. "It's just that I really really like you and have since we met and I know you don't like me back because you never show an affection towards me and I get it because I wouldn't either. I'm this weird youtuber and no one would want to date me. But just hear me out.  I have wanted to tell you this for 2 months now but I've never had the courage to do it. So if you want to just leave, I would understand" he says frowning. "Connor. You don't get it do you? I like you too. So freaking much it hurts.  I have liked you since you started making videos. No one but you. Can you accept that?" He finally smiled.

The date went on and it was an amazing date and I am so happy he told me that today.  We haven't done anything except hug and when we were sitting at one point he put his hand on my knee, but nothing too exciting.  We were almost done with our date and since I did live only a little ways away from where we were, he was walking me home.

Connor's POV

We were walking back to her house in almost compete silence so I decided to do something to make it not so awkward. When we passed the pier, I grew up and grabbed her hand. She started to blush and man, I was too. "Tonight was very fun and I'm glad we did this" I said smiling. "I had fun too. but only because you were the one to take me." I grew up even more and stopped walking. I looked straight at her and said, "will you let me have the honor of being your boyfriend?" I said confidently. "Connor, I would love to let you have that "honor"" as she laughed. Here comes the big moment. Come on Connor. You can do this! Grow up man! So I leaned in and kissed her. We kissed for a good 30 seconds and then we broke apart. "That was... Wow" she says smiling. "You are my wow" I say very cliche like.
Tonight was the best night of my life.
