Stolas handed you a book, when you opened it the pages had a bright (pick a color) glow to them!
You weren't expecting that!
You ended up dropping the book!
It made a loud thud sound as it made contact with the ground!

Stolas winced at the sound.
He stood up from his seat and picked up the book, checking the corners and pages to see if any damage had been done.
Once seeing how the book was fine he let out a small sigh of relief.

Stolas looked over to Blitz.
"Maybe we should discuss this after this event is over?."
Stolas fixated his gaze on the now staring crowd, a small frown appearing on his face.
"Some of the people here...Might not take too well to...Me handing away my book to the human world...."
Your eyes widened as Blitz grabbed your hand and started to lead you away from the owl.

You yanked your hand back.
"Hey! What do you think you're doing?!."
You shouted a little louder than you'd anticipated.
Glaring at Blitz.

Blitz returned the glare.
"You heard Stolas! He wants us to wait until his fancy schmancy meeting thing or whatever it is over-
So let's g-

"No."
You interrupted.

Blitz eyes widened.
"No?. I don't think you realize the kind of place we're in! I can't be here! And you-
He said pointing a finger at you.
"You especially can't be here."

You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion.
"What do you mean you can't be here?."
Blitz anxiously rubbed his hand on his arm.

(I couldn't think of how to word that 😭)

"I mean..."
Blitz avoided eye contact and glanced to an empty spot on the floor.
"I'm in imp (Y/n.)...I don't know how you haven't noticed it yet but...-
Blitz locked eyes with you for a second.
"Most imps don't get to own their own businesses...."

Your eyes widened a bit at this new information.
"What? You're telling me-
You looked around the room and noticed that Blitz was right....and the only Imps you'd seen looked like they were workers...
You looked back to Blitz with an apologetic look...
The realization kicking in on why he was the way he was...
The realization of why he was being so protective of you....
The realization of how hard he was probably working to keep his business up and going....

Oh Blitz I'm so sorry I didn't-
You didn't get to finish your sentence as someone yelled at you.
"Hey, you're not supposed to be in here!."
They said.
You gasped as 2 men/women approached
Next thing you knew you and Blitz had been tossed out and landed in a puddle.

You looked up and frowned.
"It's raining...."
You glanced up at hearing a small splash, Blitz was standing up.
"Ugh, great!."
He said rolling his eyes then stopping to look over at you.
He held a hand out, a small blush on his cheeks.

"C'mon, let's go find a safe place to hang out in until Stolas is done....We can't stay out here-
Blitz stopped talking and looked around before continuing.
"I mean we can...But I don't think it's a good idea. Who knows what kind of things are wandering around in the shadows-
Blitz looked up at the sky and saw a clear view of the Moon.

He inched his hand closer, brushing it against your hand, he was asking for permission to hold it which of course you allowed.
Intertwining your hand with his, you looked back up, your full attention on Blitz now.
Whom still had a small blush.

You spoke up.
"Hey um...Do you wanna maybe go and get something to eat before I leave? Can't go home on an empty stomach."
You smiled.
Blitz stared at you in disbelief for a moment
Then he felt small smile curl up.
"Sure...Dinner sounds nice."
