One night, you found yourself not being able to sleep well...

You walked outside, stepping onto the stairwell of the building, looking up at the moon.

You sighed and propped a hand up against a railing, resting your face up against your hand. 
(I described that terribly lol 😂)

You felt your eyes getting droopy, but you were determined to stay out for a bit longer.

Suddenly, you felt a pair of hands on your shoulders and a warm blanket draping over you.

"Hey."

Your eyes widened at hearing Blitz's voice.

"You're gonna catch a cold if you stay out here much longer-

You didn't say anything.

Blitz decided to take a step forward, and he now stood beside you.

He looked at you, then the moon, then back over to you.

He could tell that you were upset, ever since the restaurant incident, you'd been doing your best to avoid him...

You talked to everyone less...

Blitz's usual smile faltered.

So he spoke up.

And what he said? Did not help.

Not one bit.

"You like the nighttime so much, maybe you'll get lucky enough to become an owl or (think of another nocturnal animal)

You looked at Blitz, and your frown deepened.

Blitz's eyes widened, and he held his hands up defensively.

"Okay! Okay! Bad choice of words...-

He then sighed.

"Look...I don't know what happened in between the time I was gone and what happened at the restaurant...But if anyone here or anyone on the streets said or did anything, just let me know and I'll-

You interrupted Blitz.

"I'm sorry."

You said your frown somehow deepening again.

Blitz looked at you and gave a puzzled expression.

"Sorry? Sorry for what?..."

You looked away and sighed, you felt tears forming.

"I wasn't trying to get us hurt, get you hurt, put in danger...I didn't mean to! I- I do care about you and- and we- I-

You looked at him as your eyes locked with his.

"If I stay, it just puts a burden on you, and if I go, it's gonna tear me apart because- I care, Blitz. I care so much! And I don't know what to do anymore."

There was a small pause before you spoke up again.

"I got into a fight with the others...And I've just been pondering on it since...."

Blitz's gaze softened some, and he draped an arm over your shoulders, pulling you into a gentle hug.

"You're not a bother to me...You've been homesick this entire time...What's given you the second thoughts? You know it's probably better up there than here...Here it's just...Well....-

He then gave a weak smile.

"Look at what my job is, sweetheart."

You glanced up at him and gave a small smile back, you leaned further into the hug and snuggled against him.

Murmuring a low-

"I'm just tired, Blitz...."

Blitz sighed and rested his head on the top of yours.

"Me too....-

Blitz paused to think for a moment.

"Ya know when you go...You'll probably have to move, right? Somebody will look for you...You might still be in danger up there, and well...

Blitz paused; you could feel a slight hesitation coming from him before he spoke up again.

"You might actually be safer here, but...-

He sighed and shook his head.

"No...I couldn't ask you to do that...I think you could handle everything okay."

You pulled away from the hug.

"Can't do what? What are you talking about, Blitz?"

Blitz shook his head.

"Nothing, it's nothing...Look, I'll just burrow one of those holy gems things...Whatever...and you can wear that for protection. But you'll have to wear it at all times...That means this-

He gestured a hand to himself.

"I won't even be able to-

Blitz put a hand on your shoulder.

"Do that."

He finished.

You pursed your lips in thought and let out a small hum.

"Whoa.."

You said, slightly amazed, but your eyes widened at a thought, and you lightly smacked at Blitz's chest.

"H-hey!"

Blitz shouted.

"What was that for?!"

You gave a defensive glare.

"You could've given me a gem this entire time?!"

Blitz held his hands up defensively.

"It's hard to get! It was an emergency-only type of thing!"

You placed your hands on your face and groaned.

"Ugh...Blitz..."

Blitz then gave a nervous smile.

"You still love me, right?."

You peeked a look through your fingers....
Then smiled...
Then he smiled too.
