The next morning, Ragini woke up to the soft sunlight streaming through the curtains, casting a warm glow across the room. Jungkook was already awake, watching her quietly from his side of the bed, his gaze gentle and filled with a quiet adoration.

"Good morning, wifey," he murmured, a small smile on his face. His hand reached over, brushing a stray strand of hair away from her face, his touch featherlight.

Ragini sat up, her mind still tangled in the emotions of last night. There was a warmth between them that hadn’t been there in a long time, something that felt like hope mixed with a cautious fragility. "Good morning," she replied, her voice softer than usual.

Jungkook seemed to sense her hesitation. He got out of bed and disappeared for a moment, returning with a tray of breakfast—her favorite, complete with fresh orange juice and toast. "I thought I'd surprise you," he said, setting it down in front of her with a proud smile. "Figured I'd start off right today."

Ragini looked at him, a bit taken aback. She couldn’t help but smile despite herself. "You didn’t have to do all this."

Jungkook shrugged, a playful glint in his eyes. "I want to. I want to take care of you, every single day." He handed her a piece of toast, his gaze softening. "I know it doesn’t make up for everything, but… I’ll try, wifey. I’ll try, and I won’t give up."

She took the toast from him, feeling a flicker of warmth spread through her chest. It was strange, yet comforting, to see him like this—patient, calm, and grounded in a way he hadn't been before. She took a bite, savoring the simplicity of the moment, letting it soothe the ache that lingered in her heart.

As they ate in silence, she found herself glancing over at him more than once, each time catching him smiling softly, as if he couldn’t believe she was there beside him. It was like he was cherishing every second, and somehow, that made her want to believe in him a little more.

After breakfast, Jungkook reached out his hand. “Will you go for a walk with me? I’d love to show you the forest here. It’s beautiful.”

She hesitated, but something in his eyes drew her in. With a small nod, she placed her hand in his. "Alright," she said softly, her heart fluttering at the feeling of his hand wrapping securely around hers.

They walked through the trees in a gentle silence, with Jungkook occasionally pointing out flowers or unique birds he spotted along the way. There was no pressure, no tension, just an unspoken understanding building between them. And with each step, she felt the walls around her heart begin to soften, just a little.

As they strolled through the forest, Ragini’s gaze wandered across the towering trees and sunlight dappling the forest floor. She took a deep breath, feeling the cool air fill her lungs before quietly breaking the silence. "When… when are we going back home, Jungkook?"

Jungkook stopped, her question clearly catching him off guard. He looked at her, his expression growing serious as he took in her anxious eyes. “Wifey,” he murmured, reaching for her hand, “this is our home… at least for now.”

Ragini’s brows furrowed as she looked away, her hand still in his. “I can’t stay here forever, Jungkook. I have a life outside of this—my friends, my work…”

He gently turned her face back toward him, his thumb tracing her cheek. “I know. I know you feel trapped right now.” His voice softened as he continued, “But I needed to be here, just you and me, away from everything. I needed to show you how much you mean to me, without anyone interrupting or pulling us apart.”

Ragini bit her lip, searching his eyes. "But, Jungkook… I can’t ignore everything else forever. We can’t just hide here and pretend the world doesn’t exist."
