His Human Mate

Chapter 3.

I took in the beautiful scenery through the small window of the car as we turned off the street from the small city to a new road which was secluded by woods with beautifully lit houses peaking through. The area here seemed lovely, I imagined I would like it here.

The car came to a stop, I climbed out of the back seat. Looking up my eyes were shook by the beauty of my new home. It was 2 story home with the exterior which was a modern but cottage style home. The walkway to the house was huge, wooden flooring leading to the steps up to the front door.

Glass doors stood before me with black rims all the way around it, the roof was tiled a neat black bringing out the modern side of the home. The floor had small plants and bushes scattered along the outside. The nature truly was beautiful.

The interior was gorgeous, fancy furniture with plain white walls took over my view. The living room was huge, with a lovely coffee table set up near the sofa. There was an entryway to the kitchen from the living room. A dining table with a black countertop that has various cooking equipment with a black fridge and freezer nearby.

I headed upstairs to look around, the bathroom was to my left which was modern and clean. There were 3 bedrooms yet I had no clue which one was mine. My grandfather called me from downstairs.

"Delilah come get ur things."

"Coming."

I grabbed some of my things from downstairs and my grandfather helped me carry the rest. We walked upstairs into the smallest bedroom which was still moderately big. He put my stuff down and so did I.

"This is your room, your mom's is the next one over and mine is the furtherest. Knock or shout if you need anything."

"Thanks and I will."

"I'll leave you to unpack your things and settle into your new room."

He left and I went to unpack all my things. A few hours later I was done unpacking and decorating my room.

My double bed was placed in front on a bookshelf which I set all my books on neatly. I had a white bedding with beautiful light flowers with a fluffy blanket on top. The window had small plants in pots along the window sill, as well as fake leaves along the side and top with small lights tangled inside them to brighten the room giving it a fairy like vide. I was very happy with my new room.

"Oh good you're done with your room, it looks great."

I turned around startled, he was leant on the door frame.

"Yeah whats up ?"

"Just came to show you around the area, theres lots of places I think you'd like."

"Yeah that sounds great."

We walked outside and down the street, about a five minute walk from my house. There were 4 main buildings surrounding a gorgeous white fountain with lavender, pink and white roses around it. It truly was a gorgeous sight.

The first building was a coffee shop, entering it the vibe was cozy and calm, the warmth felt nice. The tables were set neatly with flower pots, nearby was a cozy area with a sofa and a small coffee table.

The next building we went to was a huge mall named Crescent Mall. The building was tall with lots of windows and a big moon on the front.

The next building was huge, incredibly tall, grandfather told me it was a school. It looked incredibly posh and rich but also gave me dark academia vibes.

After my grandfather had shown me around we went home and made some food. I took a quick shower and gotten ready for bed. A few minutes later I was comfortable in bed reading one of my favourite book. A chapter and a few pages later I fell asleep.
