Being a Christian (teen) is hard. Naturally we are sinful ,so it's so easy to sin but when you become a believer the sin becomes a poison to your growth of developing Christ-like characteristics.

It's conflicting as you don't want to sin but you will still sin in the process of developing a Godly character, and ontop of that God knew humans couldn't combat sin alone so he sent his Son,he gave us the Holy spirit to guide us ,his Word and the gifts other believers have been blessed with to serve the church and non believers.

Even as you try to live a life that is pleasing to God ,let's not lie we have our moments where doing something sinful seems more pleasing than doing something that's pleasing to God. If you notice naturally humans desire to do stuff that are displeasing to God,but the stuff God wants us to do can sometimes seem boring or too much to do,it's so easy to sin but hard not to,but with God the journey to live a life that honours him comes gradually since if God showed us how far we are from displaying a kingdom character we would be discouraged ,but instead he gradually shows us ,so we are drawn into repentance.

However, it is important to note God can't work in someone who isn't willing to change their ways. James 4.7 states "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." This shows us that you have to submit to God as that would make you want to live God's will for your life and prevent you from being a prey of the enemy as you will be drawing closer to him,and his Word will transcend into your hearts and make you desire to become more like Him which would make you aware of the enemy's tactics as you will see things from God's perspective and seeing things from God's perspective helps you to live a more obedient life to God ,yet there is still sin, sigh 😮‍💨.

My point is that you're always going to sin, it's naturally within us, and at the same time you want to please God ,but with God's help and a desire to want to change ,you can live a life that will produce fruits of God's character.

Being a sinner without God can look easier and entertaining but at the end when your eyes are shut forever you will become distant to the earth and to God,whereas being a true believer of God you will become distant from the earth but be in close proximity with God. It's hard to live this Christian life as its against our natural state, but it's worth it in the end to know that you lived a life that pleased God and not Satan ,but it's up to you to choose the narrow path way to God or the highway ticket to Satan and his agents. Choose wisely.
