Some guys from the Mafia came to his house, he saw them and thought something was wrong.
He had a chamber which led to the apartments basement.
After entering the basement, he exited the building through the underground garage connected to the basement.
He heard gunshots, glass shattering and grunts outside but he was able to escape then and run away to San Diego where he was doing a layover.
Soon after the layover, he continued his journey, in order to escape them...
Jack thought long and hard on why the Mafia was after him...
Thats when he suddenly remembered, about the incident about his step- father in law...
Looks like his step father in law had an underground connection to the Mafia..
