After music, we went to out last period class before leaving school. Katrina got into my car beside me, sitting in the passenger's seat. I drove out of the parking lot at school and towards the roller skating rink.

When we got there, we saw some couples there, on dates. Kat looked at me worriedly like we were going to be seen as a couple there.

"Just don't hold hands with me, and we won't be seen as a couple," I told her. She nodded and told the lady her shoe size.

We got skates and began to make our way onto the rink. Kat slid around a little before completely losing her balance. I helped her up, and she regained her balance better than before.

I started to skate around in circles. This rink reminded me of Aurora. We came here a lot as kids. Mali and Alayna (Aurora's older sister) would always come here with us, and I remembered always ordering pizza. It was like a weird tradition. Any time we came here, we would get pizza.

During the summers as kids, kid say we came here two, if not three, times a week. We loved it here. We haven't come here since her family and my family brought her here for her birthday, and that was at the beginning of February, about two months ago. That was a long time for us.

I saw that Kat was about to pass me while going in the circles, so I stopped her. We skated beside each other for a while.

I then asked her, "do you want to get pizza in a little while?"

"Sure," she smiled.

I didn't want to get pizza right away because it was only four fifteen. I could order the pizza around five, and we could pick it up on the way to my house.

Kat had passed me a few times while going in circles. She had gained lots of speed since she started. She was stumbling at first, and now she is passing me, most likely going three times as fast as I am.

She fell down a few minutes later, and I rushed over to help her up. Right after she got up, she began to skate again. She was loving this. I was having fun too. I missed coming here with Aurora too. I wished Aurora could be here too, but she was probably with Adam at his house, or they might be at her house today. I didn't care where they were. I just didn't like them together.

At five, I called the pizza place from my phone and ordered a large pizza. I skated over to Kat and told her that I had ordered.

"You ordered a large pizza?" She asked.

"Yep."

"Just for us?"

"Yeah, why?"

"That seems like a lot! For only two people, I mean."

"We always order two large pizzas for band practices."

"That's because there are four hungry boys in your band. Boys eat a lot."

"Girls can too."

"I never eat as much as you probably do."

"Hey, I eat a lot. If we don't finish the pizza, that's alright. It's better to have more than needed than not enough."

"That's true."

"Well the pizza will be done in fifteen to twenty minutes. We can leave in about ten minutes, and it'll be done by the time we get there."

"Okay."

We just skated around for the last ten minutes. It felt like longer than ten minutes. We were sneaking up behind her and i pushed her down. She then got up and chased me, then got to me and pushed me down. It was so fun. There were only a few kids around. There weren't anymore couples here.

After I realized it was a quarter after five, we decided to leave. We took our skates off, gave then back to the lady, and left. It was hard to adjust to walking instead of skating. I kept thinking I was still on wheels. Kat must've too.

"Ugh, I feel like I'm still on the skates," she looked at her feet.

"I know. That's the effect of skating for an hour and a half."

"Tell me about it."

We got into the car and drove off towards the pizza place, picking the pizza up. I took it back into the car and it smelt so good. I immediately took a piece out and began to eat while driving. Kat also took a piece.

By the time we got home, I had eaten two pieces and Kat ate one. I wasn't very hungry for some reason. I sat it on the counter in the kitchen as my mum came in.

"Oh, you must be Katrina!" She exclaimed, walking over to hug her.

"I am," Kat told her.

"Did you two have fun?" Mum wondered.

"We did. We went skating," I informed her.

"Just like old times. How did you guys meet?"

"We were lab partners in chemistry after Aurora got a new partner."

"That's nice. Do you guys have lots of classes together?"

"Actually, yes, we do," I looked over at Katrina. I could only think of Aurora.

"Good. Do you guys sit together a lot too?"

"Yeah. I don't sit with Aurora anymore."

"I forgot."

"Well, mum, we will be up in my room, just for a little while longer. By the way, we're just friends, so don't think of anything" I reminded my mum.

She nodded as I grabbed the pizza and made my way upstairs to my room with Kat at my heels.
