[Norman's pov]
As he shut the door, I wondered why he acted so weird. Then I go back to the thought. Was Emma sleeping with Ray. No, but yes, but it was probably a friend thing like back then, right? It feels weird, especially when they've been together for more years, like when I was in lambada, they took care of our family while being kids themselves. But it's hard to think that everything I've done is for Emma her dreams goals and ambitions ever since that day.
But it felt off like things changed. I know both of them better than anyone. I just feel off.
[Emma's pov]
As I woke up, I felt so much better. I was with Ray, nothing out of the usual. I felt safe with him like I'd always be protected. As I got up, it was silent. Ray took ahold of my arm and lowered my back in bed. Strange. "I'm sorry," he said, crying on my shoulder. It was so out of place for him to do anything like this "Hey are you sick?" I asked he didn't answer he just hugged me more like as if I was gonna leave. I snuggled up to him, running my fingers through his hair. "It's okay, I'm here for you, Ray," I said as he drifted asleep and let go. Maybe he was just tired, and all those pent-up feelings finally got let out. I waited till Ray got up, which took a while. While we got up, he apologized for how he acted.
"It's all good, Ray. I get it just like you're there for me. I'll be there for you too, " I said. There was a knock at the door. Ray quickly hid me even if we weren't doing anything wrong. "Hey Norman, what's up." I heard him say. "Is Emma here it's urgent." Ray stood quiet. "How about we go cook so breakfast and talk it over?" He suggested. "She could walk in. No, we can talk here." He was being so persistent. I wondered why, but at the same time, I knew Ray didn't want me to hear their conversation either with altogether, which made me more curious. I hated it.
"Please." Ray asked. "Fine whatever," Norman directed as they headed out to make breakfast. As they headed out, I swiftly made it to my room to do my essentials.
