Agastya's POV

As we were about to leave, a group of tribals came forward.

"Aap iss ladki ko kahan lekar jaa rahe hain? Humne sab dekha, yeh aayi kissi aur ke saath thi toh kya ab aap isse apne saath zabardasti lekar jaayenge?"

"Nahin aisa nahin hai, voh mein inhein jaanta hun" I tried to explain

This place being far from Devgarh, didn't really trust anyone whether a common person or a king.

"Nahin hum aapko isse lekar jaane denge hi nahin. Le jao iss ladki ko" a lady ordered the other members.

"Nahin hum inhein jante hain, yeh yeh humare-" Davika trued to speak but they cut her in between.

"Yeh kon hain tumhare? Tum Daron mat, hum tumhein kuch nahin hone denge, le jao isse"

"YEH MERI PATNI HAI" I said immediately as I didn't trust anyone with her. I couldn't let them take her anywhere.

She looked at me wide eyed and smiled a little. I felt a shiver run down my spine as I saw her smiling.

"Aye aise toh koi bhi isko apni Patni bula ke le jaa sakta hai. Hum tumhe kese sacha samjhein?"

My blood boiled at the mere thought of someone else calling her his wife. These feelings had grown and I knew it by the way I just ran to save her leaving my everything. I could send my best trained minister with a huge army, but no, I came here myself

I immediately cut my thumb with my sword and looked in her eyes for consent and she seemed confused. I wanted ghem to believe what I said because there was no chance they would let me take her without confirmation.

As she realised what I was asking for, she blinked her eyes timidly and lowered her eyelashes.

I applied a little bit of blood on her hairline and everyone gasped. Though it was just an act but my eyes held adoration seeing her being mine even if it was fake.

It was in the heat of the moment that we did everything and we will figure everything later on but this was necessary. I could see that she was almost about to faint and I would do anything required to keep her safe.

She looked at me with her teary gaze and I felt guilty for doing this but I will clear every single thing and she will not be forced to take any decision.

I had to keep her safe till I kill that asshole. She was like a doll made of glass. Her pure heart is one of the things that won my heart.

Devika's POV

As he filled my hairline with his blood, a trail of tears ran down my cheeks. I couldn't believe that he was the one to do this. I was not feeling disgusted and unhappy, it was somehow peaceful and safe. But our families didn't know about this..not even Rooh. A wierd silence followed aa he filled my hairline.

The thought of my family getting angry made me shiver.

"Ab toh aapko yakeen ho gaya na? Le jaun mein apni biwi ko?"

Heat rushed to my cheeks as he called me his wife. I never expected this but it did not frighten me like the thought of marrying Vikram did.

"Haan, humein shama karein. Hum bas chahte the ki ladki surakshit ho" they said with a smile and my heart melted.

"Aap bilkul sahi Kar Rahe hain...mujhe tasalli hai ki har aura surakshit hogi" he said politely.

This place was far away from Devgarh and this can be one of the reasons why they were not letting me go with him.

We left after thanking them and he said.

"Uhm..Devika yeh maine bas tumhein bachane ke liye kiya tha. Mein jaanta hun ki tum shaadi nahin karna chahti aur tumhare saath koi zabardasti nahin karega. Hum Ghar Jaykar sabko sach batayenge aur phir jese pehle the vese ho jayenge" he said while looking at the road.

I made a straight face. I thought he genuinely wanted to marry me. But this was all just an act? I tried to be normal and said

"Jee"

We continued our journey and reached there in sometime.

Author's POV

As they reached their destination, they stepped inside the mahal. Everyone was shocked to see them entering like a married couple.

"Kahan chali gayi thi tu. Hum itna dar gaye the, Pata hai?" Her mother said

"Maa voh humein le gaya tha" Devika responded.

They met each other for about 10 minutes and Rooh asked

"Yeh teri maang kese bhari hui hai"

Everyone was confused from the beginning but couldn't ask clearly.

Agastya explained everything to them and they looked at each other with a smile on their faces.

"Beta lekinh shaadi chahe kese bhi hui ho, Agar  jhoothi bhi ho tab bhi nibhani padti hai. Hum tum donon ko akele baaf karne ka samay dete hain jao" Devika's father said.
