Yunjin

The holiday season had finally arrived, and Yunjin could hardly contain her excitement. It felt like the perfect celebration, especially now that both her and Y/N were officially Cornell-bound. The families had planned a trip together to Belleayre Mountain Ski Resort, and as the car wound up the mountain road, surrounded by trees dusted in fresh snow, Yunjin felt the anticipation building with every turn. She couldn't remember the last time they'd done a trip like this, and just the thought of spending time on the slopes with Y/N made her heart race with excitement.
After what felt like a journey through a winter wonderland, they finally reached the resort, a cozy and picturesque place nestled against the mountain. The families checked in, and Yunjin could feel the chill in the air, the kind of crisp cold that made her breath come out in little white puffs. She and Y/N both hurried to change into their ski gear, eager to hit the slopes.
They found themselves in a warm, bustling lodge, people of all ages layering on ski jackets and adjusting helmets. Y/N was beside her, fumbling with the zipper on his jacket, and Yunjin grinned at the sight of him. He looked effortlessly handsome, even in his bulky ski gear—a black jacket with red accents and snow pants, his hair a little tousled from tugging the helmet on and off.
"Need some help there, Mr. Superstar?" she teased, tugging on her own gloves while watching him wrestle with his scarf.
He looked up, giving her a playful glare as he finally got the zipper up. "Just saving my strength for the slopes, Mrs.Cornell," he shot back, tugging at the strap on his helmet and grinning.
Yunjin giggled as she pulled on her own helmet, adjusting it to fit snugly over her head. She'd opted for a white ski jacket with navy blue stripes and matching pants, feeling warm and cozy despite the brisk mountain air that seeped through the open windows. She felt his eyes on her and raised an eyebrow.
"Like what you see?" she asked, hands on her hips.
Y/N chuckled, reaching out to adjust the goggles that sat atop her helmet. "I mean, you make ski gear look good. Just don't go zooming past me out there, alright?"
"As if I'd be the one leaving you in the snow," she replied, rolling her eyes playfully. "You remember who won at the arcade basketball game, right?"
He groaned, mock offended. "We're still on that? Fine, if that's how it's going to be. Loser buys hot chocolate after our first run."
"Deal!" she said, laughing, reaching out to link her gloved arm through his as they headed out to the slopes.
Outside, they found themselves surrounded by a breathtaking view—the sprawling mountain, cloaked in thick blankets of white snow, with the ski lift crisscrossing the landscape overhead. Families and friends were bustling around, people talking and laughing as they clipped into their skis and snowboards.
Y/N kneeled down, checking her boots and skis to make sure they were secure, his brows furrowed with concentration. She watched him for a moment, a fond smile spreading across her face as he adjusted the straps on her boots, making sure everything was secure.
"All set, Jen," he said, straightening up and tapping his poles against the snow. "You ready?"
She gave him a confident nod, though she could feel the familiar rush of nerves and excitement swirling in her stomach. "I was born ready," she teased, playfully pushing him as they shuffled toward the lift.
Once they got on, they were lifted slowly, watching the ground fall away beneath them as they rose higher up the mountain. The air was cold and sharp, but refreshing, and she leaned back, looking over at him as the landscape spread out before them.
