Caitlyn's POV

Flashback

I run through the forest, the birds chirping around me. the wind blowing hair back and the branches of the trees that surround me, snapping back as I run against them, my steps making footprints in the snow. I stop running and kneel down, aiming my gun to get ready for the target to spring up. I cock my gun and as soon as the target was visible, I shot it, my aim perfect. The next target springs up and I shoot again and... not missing. I shoot at the next three targets, not missing one. I run quickly to the firing my shot at the next target once I was reloaded my gun and I hit it mesmerizingly, the smoke from the gun slowly pouring out. I smile and hum before I hear another gunshot in the distance and I stop smiling, turning to see Grayson, already running to her next target so I smirk and start running to my text target as well. We both shoot the next target with no stress and we both start running quickly towards the final one, the one that determines who wins this sharpshooter competition. I make it to the perfect spot to shoot and I lift my gun up, taking a deep breath in and out. The red target comes up and I waste no time, shooting it and taking it down quickly. I look up proudly and smile, turning to Grayson who was still aiming at her target, but she stops, puts her gun down and she looks at me, smirking.
I sit on the stairs in front of the party my parents threw for me but all they did was show off to their friends, drinking beer and laughing loudly. I got up from the stairs and walked up to Grayson, leaving my trophy. "That was quite some shooting, Kiramman." she says, her voice raspy "did my parents pay you to let me win?" I ask. Grayson was the best shooter out there. How could she lose to a child? It had to be planned. "Hmm... That's a serious accusation." she says, turning to me "you held your shot, I saw you." I say, remembering in position but she never took the shot "the trophy is yours. You earned it." she says, avoiding the question "you haven't answered my question" I told her, furrowing my eyebrows and she chuckled "no, your parents didn't pay me" she finally answers my question, turning back to the snowy field "I just thought you deserved it" she adds, and I take a deep breath, walking closer to her, leaning on the stone balcony as she does "I'm an enforcer. For me, knowing how to handle this weapon means being able to protect people. To be of service to the city. That's trophy enough. Begs the question, young Kiramman. What are you shooting for?" she asks, and I look from her to the snowy field.

"I took a look at your file. There's no record of you or your crimes. What are you here for?" I ask the pink haired "my sunny personality" she says, taking a step closer to the cell door. So, I back up a bit "you attacked an inmate. Why?" I questioned her "why not?" she says "he was a witness in an ongoing investigation" I tell her, letting her know the damage she's caused, and she hummed "bummer" she says, pacing her cell and I notice another bed in the cell with stains of tried blood and I sigh "this was a waste of time" I mumble "couldn't have put it better" she says loud enough for me to hear "enforcers. All the same" a man says from the cell across from the girls, dragging out the 'all' but I ignore him, rolling my eyes "hey, give Silco a kiss on that winning eye of his, will you?" the girl added, and I stopped walking, taking a deep breath, knowing I have to get more information "Silco? The industrialist?" I ask.
"Okay, this is getting old. Can you just send in whoever's gonna kick the shit out of me, so I can get on with my night?" she says, and I look to her, noticing bruised on her body. I look down to the floor, looking at the red line across it 'fuck it' I thought, and I stepped over the line, getting closer to the cell "does this mean anything to you?" I ask her and lift up my notebook, showing her, a picture of the not-so-neat monkey drawing and she turned slowly but then running quickly to the cell door, her hands banging against the metal, I jump back in surprise, gasping and my eyes widening "where did you get this?" she asked and I take a deep breath "my question first. He worked for Silco?" I asked "Uh, they all do. How can anyone not know that? Where did you find this?" she questions. "There was an attack. This is evidence. I need proof if I'm to believe what you're saying about Silco" I say and she scoffs, leaning her head against the cell door "I could get it for you. Just not from in here" she says, and I snicker "in what mad world would I trust someone like you?" I tell her, smirking and her eyes widen "someone like me? You enforcers are all the same. Just some asshole criminals in fancy uniforms. You know what? Find Silco yourself." she frowns, shaking her head in disappointment "I will, thank you" I say before walk away and she chuckles "Undercity's gonna eat you alive" she says as I'm walking away.
