Later that evening, Elizabeth's range rover begins to slow down and soon comes to a halt in front of Beacon Hills' hospital. She leans back in her seat and looks to her left, dawning a wide smile at just the sight of her passenger.
Melissa finished tying her hair into a ponytail and looked over what she could observe of herself from the car's sun visor mirror. She paused mid-check though when she took notice of Elizabeth staring at her with the same amused yet loving grin still adorning her face.
"What? Do I have something on my face? Or is the ponytail just that messy?" Melissa asked anxiously.
"No, no, it is perfect." Elizabeth replied with a shake of her head, reaching forward and tucking a strand behind Melissa's ear, "You are perfect."
Melissa dawned a flattered smile, the effect of Elizabeth's words ever prominent judging by the blush that came with the smile and the fluttering of her heart.
"T-Thanks, but I get the feeling that you're also trying to make a move right now." Melissa said as her smile slowly turned into a knowing smirk.
"That depends...is it working?" Elizabeth asked, starting to smirk as well and leaning closer to her.
"Mhmm, come here~" Melissa stated as she pulled her into a kiss.
Elizabeth's reciprocation was swift and she eagerly moved her lips in unison to Melissa's. It was as if after their first kiss a spark had ignited within the matriarch wolf. She had gotten a taste of something so divine that she couldn't help but long for more.
She had centuries of control over her animalistic urges, hell, beyond centuries, but something about this human was loosening her sense of restraint and making it harder for her not to just give into those urges and taste all that she had to offer, all that a mere kiss was simply teasing.
Before it could get even more heated though, Melissa pulled back and Elizabeth was that close to letting out a whine at such an action.
Melissa hummed in satisfaction with an impressed smirk as she took a breath, "You keep that up, Ms. Beowulf and I don't think we'd make it past the second date."
"We could skip to the best part if you so desire~" Elizabeth suggested, starting to lean forward again.
"Easy tiger." Melissa said, putting a finger on Elizabeth's lips and pushing her back, "I'd love to continue this but I gotta get to work."
Elizabeth sighed with an amused smile and sat back in her seat, "You tease me, Melissa."
"Tease you? How?" Melissa asked with a smirk.
"By being so desirable yet so unattainable." Elizabeth professed.
"Desirable? I'm literally in old, dirty scrubs with a messy ass ponytail and I'm pretty sure the stain on my shirt was from the dinner I messed up a week ago." Melissa retorted.
Elizabeth looked at her with a smile, "All of which making you utterly desirable."
There they were. The goddamn butterflies exploding in her stomach and her heart beating much faster than it should have been. Elizabeth was completely infatuated with Melissa, that much she could tell and it went both ways.
She couldn't recall when it was when she felt this...loved. Maybe with her past love, but this one was different. On another level of different. As cheesy as it may sound, it was as if she felt some sort of spark with Elizabeth, something she'd never come to experience.
"I-I gotta get to work. I'll see you later, okay?" Melissa asked.
"I shall come to pick you up." Elizabeth replied.
