The bar before we knew the full story

Chapter 4

We all walk out, thankful to be alive. After shift, I start to get ready for my date with Tim. Tim calls while I'm choosing my outfit.
T-"Hey pretty girl."
L-"Almost there."
T-"No you're not."
L-"I'm not. Im deciding what to weaaar.. and it's decided."
T-"Okay I will be there soon honey." We hang up.
L-"Did he call me honey? I love this man."
A few minutes later:
I'm still getting ready and I hear a knock at the door. I walk over and look through the peep hole and then see Tim standing there. I open the door and smile at him. He pulls flowers out from behind his back and gives them to me.
L-"Aww thank you."
T-"You're very welcome." On the flowers there was a card so I put the flowers in a vase and read the card.
Dear Lucy,
When I met you, I just thought it would be a one time thing. After I was sober, I knew it wasn't just gonna be that. You are so perfect in so many ways and I can't be any happier. I can't wait for what's expected to come ahead, and I'm so excited to see. I must admit, it was awkward in the bunker because only Angela and Nyla knew about us but now that everyone knows and approves, I am very happy that we don't have to hide our relationship. I love you so much Lulu.

L-"awww thank you!" I hug him.
T-"Your welcome." I walk to my bathroom to finish getting ready and Tim follows me to watch. He starts picking up stuff and looking at them.
T-"You don't need this stuff, you're beautiful."
L-"Thanks but I do." He gives a stern look. After I get done we head to the restaurant. We get seated immediately. We order our food and then get our drinks.
L-"What do you want to do after this?"
T-"Hmmm, I'm not sure."
L-"How about a walk on the pier and then some quality sexy time?"
T-"Sounds like a plan." Tim looks up and sees people from the station.
T-"Shit everyone from the station is here, over there." Tim points.
L-"Oh! They didn't invite us probably because Angela told them about our date."
T-"Probably."
L-"We should join them."
T-"Yeah we could, but there isn't any rookies."
L-"That's okay, I don't talk to them anyways."
T-"Okay." Tim gets the waiter and tells him we are switching tables. We walk over and sit on the open part of the booth. The table consisted of; Tim, me, grey, Angela, Nyla, and captain.
G-"hey guys! Thought you were on a date?"
L-"we were but then we saw you guys."
A-"We didn't invite any rookies but you are an exception." We all laugh.
Z-"speaking of which, when did you guys meet and become an official couple?"
T-"Maybe 3-4 days ago. The day before she was a rookie, we didn't know."
L-"It was comical when he found out."
A-"He told me everything and then he told me, 'shit that's the girl I slept with last night.' It was funny."
G-"This is info I didn't need to know but you know." We all laugh and enjoy the night.
