The bar before we knew the full story

Chapter 8

Today felt off. Like something would happen but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. All of the sudden I got queasy when we were on a side street.
L-"PULL OVER RIGHT NOW." Tim pulls over and I get out to throw up. Tim comes running to me and I finish throwing up as he comes to me. He immediately hugs me and stands me up in my feet.
T-"Honey what happened?"
L-"I don't know." We get back into the shop and answer calls and I throw up a few more times.
At lunch:
We are walking to the table and about to sit down.
T-"Lucy something is seriously wrong."
L-"I will see later Tim. I don't know what's happening."
A-"What's happening?"
L-"Nothing is-"
T-"She has been throwing up all morning." I roll my eyes.
L-"I'm fine. Probably food poisoning or something." I open my veggie burger.
L-"Ew. This smells horrible." I get queasy again and run to throw up. Angela and Zoe run after me and Tim smells my food.
A-"Lucy."
Z-"We are going to go on a walk to the store."
L-"Uh okay. I need to tell Tim where I'm going let me text him." I text Tim

L-"I'm going to the store be back soon."
T-"Okay baby I love you be safe, your food smells fine."

At the store:
Z-"Alrighty where are they."
A-"Lucy. Personal question. When you and Tim have sex, does he use a condom?"
L-"No.." 
Z-"Okay then here is a pregnancy test I'm gonna buy it for you and you will go into that bathroom to take it."
L-"Mmm okay. I guess.." she pays and I go to take it. I come out of the stall and place it onto the counter. Then I wash my hands and set a timer. It goes off.
Positive.
L-"Oh shit."
Z-"Yayy!"
A-"I'm so happy for you."
L-"I'm not. I haven't even finished my probationary time. How am I supposed to balance a baby and this?"
Z-"We will figure it out. Right now you are gonna go tell Tim." I plaster a smile onto my face.
L-"I hope he isn't upset."
A-"he's always wanted kids. He is gonna be so happy Lucy."
L-"Thanks."
Z-"If anything the baby can sit in my office with me."
L-"Thank you guys." We walk back over to Tim and Nyla.
T-"Did you find out what's wrong Lu?"
L-"Yeah. Actually I did." Nyla sits up in her seat and we all sit down.
L-"We're having a baby."
T-"That's amazing! I'm so happy." He hugs me.
A-"Told you he wouldn't be upset. I will send the reaction video to you and add it to my chenford album on photos." I laugh.
A-"Also I recommend anti-acids. A lot of them. And also anti-nausea medication."
L-"Got it." Tim let's go of me and I barely eat.
T-"Lucy you need to eat."
L-"I'm not going to risk almost dying again over nausea. And I'm not hungry."
Ny-"Pregnancy makes you less hungry and more hungry sometimes." The other rookies walk over.
L-"I do want to go to the doctors and make sure it wasn't a false positive though."
A-"That's a great idea. I have heard some people all excited to have babies and then they get a positive in the stuck and it's false."
L-"Lets hope it's not false." I smile at Tim.
J-"Hold up. What?"
Z-"None of your business boot."
N-"Why don't you ever sit with us at lunch?"
L-"Because you're annoying as hell and won't stop asking me questions. And why are you so judgy, if I want to sit over here with my boyfriend, I will."
A-"Preach." Everyone laughs and Nolan's face turns bright red. (D-Dispatch)
D-"7-Adam-15 I have a disturbance call at ***"
Z-"7-Adam-15 show us responding." She stands up and puts the radio away. "Lucy I'm so happy for you, bye, see you later." She hugs me.
L-"Bye!"
A-"Anyone else sensing something bad today?"
L-"Mhm, since this morning." We all leave and go on patrol. Tim and I stop at the hospital to confirm I'm pregnant and Dr. Sheperd confirms. A few hours later:
L-"Nolan and Captain have been awfully quiet don't you think?"
T-"Too quiet."
