I reached out, as if to make sure that what stood before me was actually there. I was so stunned. I sensed that she was no longer the Heten I had grown to trust. What she had been through, whatever it was, had stripped her of what she could've become.
Heten stepped back, and pulled her hood back over her head. I shook my head to take me out of the trance I was in, and glanced over at Skere and Revan. Who were staring at the now covered Heten. I wanted to collapse, I wanted to cry. Even though Heten appeared to not be emotional at all, it was like I was feeling every emotion Heten should've been feeling. Every bit of me ached to in someway help her. But as I drew closer, Skere reached out, and grasped my shoulder, bringing me back. He gave me a look, saying that I should leave her be.
My gaze was still fixed on Heten, I had toned out all that was happening around me. In a moments notice, they all decided to immediately bring Heten and Alek before the Council. I followed them in a dream-like state all the way to the Council chambers.
I watched Heten out of the corner of my eyes. I could tell by her body language that she was almost scared, and I sensed it as well. Like I had pointed out before, she was a completely different person

When we entered the large doors leading into the Council room. I absentmindedly took my place at Revan's side. Heten, Alek, Zayne, and Jarael all stepped forward to inform the Council members of what happened. Zayne spoke first.

"Members of the Council, I am Zayne Carrick. I am a Padawan from the Jedi Tower on Taris."
The council members all exchanged glances, and some whispered to each other. They paused, and looked up at Zayne. One of the eldest Masters spoke up.
"Padawan Carrick. We have heard from Taris that you have performed a devastating action upon your leaving of the Jedi Tower." The Master paused for a second, and glared at Zayne. "Is this true?"
Zayne immediately lashed out. "No! they're liars! The Masters of the Tower murdered many of my brothers. I had no part in it!"
Alek stepped forward. "Masters. What he is saying is true." He started. "Carrick sent us a message, upon our leaving the Tower. He said the Masters began the massacre while performing a ceremony within the Council chambers." Alek glanced over at Zayne, "I believe what he says is true."
The Council members nodded.
Then Revan stepped forward. "That is not all we came here to talk to you about." Revan gave Alek a look, which Alek responded by bringing Heten beside them. Revan reached out and pulled back Heten's hood, revealing her scarred face.
Not a word escaped anyone's lips, they all just stared.
"This is Alek's Padawan. She was taken captive along the rest of my fleet. Which still remain there. Alek and his Padawan managed to escape with the aid of Jarael and Zayne Carrick." Revan said, stepping to the side so the Council members could see them clearly. "These people have valuable information on the Mandalorian army, and the scientist Demagol, who performed these horrible experiments on these Jedi."
One of the Masters sat forward in his chair. "And what would you have us do, Master Revan?" He asked.
Revan turned to the man. "I would like to bring this matter before the Republic Council. To join forces with the Republic army."
"You're suggesting that we not only abandon our vow to remain peacekeepers, but that we aid in the cause of chaos?" The man said, his tone starting to peak.
"Master, fellow Jedi are trapped by the Mandalorains. We must help them in any way possible. I beg of you. Let me speak with the Republic council and save our brothers and sisters!" Revan pleaded.
The man looked around the room, then studied Heten as she stared blankly forward out the windows. Then he looked back at Revan. "We will not abandon our vows. If we do so, we are breaking our word. And what is to stop us breaking others?"
Revan's eyes narrowed. The other Council members nodded in agreement with the man. "That will be all then." Said the man.

I watched as Revan stormed out of the Council Chambers, with Alek right behind him. Heten quickly lifted her hood over her head and followed as well. I bowed to the Masters, and rushed out as well.
