A bathroom stall would slowly close, Rivera walked out of it. His headphones captured the shape of his head, his music loudly blasting into his ears. His hands gripped on the water faucet knob, turning it on. The water ran down and his hands soon fell underneath the running water. He pumped some soap from the soap dispenser onto his hands, and continued rinsing. After he was done rinsing, he turned the faucet off. His hands gripped a few paper towels and dried every part of his hands, he threw the paper towels into the nearest garbage bin. Once he got out of the bathroom, he walked down the hallway, and made his way back to his classroom.

His right hand laid on the door knob, and when he tried opening it, it wouldn't budge. He tried again, and it still wouldn't budge. A deep sigh escaped his mouth, as he took his headphones off. "Uh, hey, Ms. Gates? Can you unlock the door for me?" No one answered back, it was dead silent for a while. "I need to be back in class!" He shouted and it was still dead silent, his voice echoed through the empty hall. Something was off, shouldn't there be security in the hallways? "Can we stop playing around? I'm starting to feel uncomfortable out here!" He shouted again, he kept trying to budge it open. And finally it budged open, but... no one was there. "What the fuck?" His mind was out of thoughts, where did everyone go?

He made his way back into the hallway, and walked over to another classroom. When it was open, no one was there, and it was the same for every classroom he checked. Yeah, now something was totally off. He hurried down the stairs, and when he finally got to the entrance doors, they were barricaded.

Suddenly a screech echoed through school, catching Rivera's attention. With sudden movement, his body sprinted into a classroom. He barricaded the classroom door, and he would stand in a corner. His breath was slow, and he covered his mouth. Something was out there, and he wasn't going to check where it was. He felt a piece of concrete fall over his head, his head tilted up to see the ceiling falling apart.

He slowly moved back, and hid underneath a desk. Rivera heard a loud thud, something has fallen down to his level. He still hid underneath the desk, a creature scratched the floor. It walked around the classroom for a few moments, hunting for its prey.

Rivera's hand was held over his mouth, trying to make as little sound as possible. The creature was getting closer to Rivera by every second, and he only had little to nothing to help him. The creature stopped in its tracks and his eyes caught Rivera's shadow, it screeched and jumped at Rivera's area.

Rivera got up immediately, and he slammed himself into the door that he previously barricaded. The door flew down, and he sprinted away from the area. The creature followed Rivera's every move, like an animal's tail. He turned to his right and ran into the school's workshop.

He broke open a fire extinguisher case with his fist, and gripped onto the fire extinguisher inside. He pulled it out, and waited for the monster to approach him. The monster screeched once again, and jumped onto the ceiling. It crawled its way to Rivera with swiftness. As it jumped as Rivera, he slammed the fire extinguisher into the creature's skull. This caused the creature to fly out the window, its weight breaking the glass plane.

It was only a matter of time for the monster to regain its consciousness, Rivera needed to think fast, faster than the monster could regenerate its body. He jumped out the open window, and walked towards the monster with caution. He placed his foot over the monster's skull, trying to crush it. The monster gripped onto Rivera's leg, and before Rivera could react, it took a huge chunk of his flesh off. He slammed his foot against the monster's skull, blood splattered over the ground. The monster's hands fell, and the body was now lifeless. "Scum." He spit at the ground, before walking away.
