Izuku re-enters the mansion and goes back to the Parlor, once there he captures all the ghosts that were there and finds the key. He then hears laughter, but it is different from the ghosts. He looks around and finds that it was the portraits that were laughing, they were alive.
Portrait 1: Uhuhuhuh! Well, look what we have here.
Portrait 2: My, my! What is a young boy doing here?
Portrait 3: Wait! Wait! I recognize him! He was in the foyer earlier! An old man that saved him was even able to capture two of us with this weird machine on his back!
Portrait 4: Ah yes. So you are back to save that woman?
Izuku: You... you know what happened to her?
Portrait 2: Of course! She was captured Yesterday! She didn't even have time to react!
Portrait 5: An acquaintance of yours?
Izuku: She's my mother...
Portrait 3: Oh! The poor child!
Portrait 1: Ohohoh! So you want to save your mother? You don't know what you are getting yourself into, young one. This machine on your back may help you survive longer, but you will eventually fall against the powerful curse of this manor! In the eternal darkness of these rooms, they are everywhere. You will risk your life at each step. And if you die... Ohohoh! It will be a pleasure to have you with us for eternity. So, you really think you can do it? Well, we will see soon enough! Because... THEY ARE HERE! AHAHAHAHAH!!!
As the laughter resonated Izuku could see some ghosts appearing. Izuku quickly avoided their attack and manages to capture them. He sees a key appear and he picks it.
Portrait 1: Impressive.
Portrait 3: This may be actually interesting to watch.
Portrait 2: Let's see how long you will survive in the rooms.
Portrait 4: Who knows? You may actually succeed in saving your mother.
Portrait 5: Do not say such stupidity! Do you really think they will succeed to capture Bogmire? And what about Little Ghost? They will fail, that's a fact! But yes, let's see how far they will go.
The portraits then become silent.
Izuku: Bogmire?
E. Gadd: [I will talk to you about it later. You still need first to get used to hunting ghosts. For a first-timer, you weren't bad, by the way. Good catch.]
Izuku: Thank you! I'll get better!
E. Gadd: [I don't doubt! Ohohohohohoh! However, I wonder what that little game with the keys means.]
Portrait 3: Uhuhuh. It's just one of Little Ghost's games. She probably locked all the doors of the manor, and you will have to clean the rooms one by one to find the keys and pass them to the next. In the last room will be what you seek. She loves playing games. But I wouldn't be surprised if there was something in her mind to do this game besides having fun.
Portrait 1: This one certainly opens the door to the anteroom. It's the one just on my left.
E. Gadd: [Thank you for your help, my non-living friends. You'd better continue, Izuku.]
Izuku continued through the different rooms, he faced many ghosts and managed to open the door after the anteroom, which was a Wardrobe room that had the key to the hallway on the second floor to the left in the foyer. Izuku then went through and found a series of doors, all of which, apart from one were locked. Izuku unlocks the door, and finds himself in a study, full of bookshelves filled with books. There was also a desk, a rocking chair, and a fireplace. But there was something in the room that horrified him.
