Complicated Love.

Chapter 3 - The Little Chat.

Marnie's  POV -

As I stroll towards the science block in the empty corridors, I check my watch. I'm gonna be way too early, screw that. I stop off at my locker & decide to go outside to have a quick smoke.
I go to the field, at the very back of the school building, hardly anyone goes there.
I light the cigarette and place it up to my lips. I inhale the smoke and then exhale. I look across the school field, in taking the lonely yet beautiful scene.
A voice then pops up,
"Beautiful ain't it, once it's empty?"
I turn around to see the one and only Dinger.
How dare he have the cheek to show up here after what has just happened. This is the only place, Where I can actually have some time on my own, away from everybody and now he's found this place, greaaaat.
He's also holding a cigarette to his lips with a smirk on his face.

"How'd you find this place?!" I demand , completely ignoring his last sentence.

"Woah, firstly calm down the attitude missy and secondly it wasn't that hard to find. The typical 'no one goes here' kinda place, at the back of the school, on the field. Oh wait- lemme guess this is your territory am I right?"

"Yeah exactly... but you were just in class a minute a go, Mr Plinkton even locked the door, after he kicked me out. Soooo.. How'd you get out?" I say calming down slightly.

"Well straight after you got kicked out he started on about some algebra nonsense & well I got bored so I lobbed the text book at his head & called his lesson boring & then I got kicked out so I came here. The schools layout ain't that hard to figure out you know?" He states proudly.
I drop my cigarette to the ground and step on it with my foot, he does the same. He takes a couple of steps forward so that he's standing right next to me.
I laugh a little, I remember the time when I threw the chair at Nicole,but instead Mr Plinkton Stepped in the way, so it almost knocked his head right off.
I continue to gaze out across the field, When I notice Dinger looking at me. I turn towards him, facing him fully.
"You got a staring problem or what?" I say raising my eyebrows and cocking my head sideways.

" Not usually, but when someone's so beautiful I can't help it.. And besides this is the first time I've seen you laugh, or even smile." He says giving me a small side smile.
I cringe at the words that just came out of his mouth but I feel myself flush and hide behind my hair. It's not like me to be all shy..
What's gotten into me?
I look back up at him, ready to respond, but end up getting lost in his eyes. Blue, Such a deep blue you could drown in them.

"Your eyes are really Nice..." I blurt out without realising.
Really Marnie?! You idiot. 'Your eyes are really nice' urgh.
I mentally face palm myself & then turn my attention back to him.
He didn't seem to mind my embarrassing compliment & instead just gave me a little chuckle which, by the way, made my insides flip like hell.

What the heck is going on with me? One minute I wanna beat the living crap outta this guy & the next we'r alone at the back of the school having some awkwardly normal conversation and then he has me feeling some kinda way.. Snap out of it Marnie... He's just messing with you.. Don't fall for it. Besides your with Joel.. Arn't you?

"Oi, You 2!" A loud shout interrupts my muddled thoughts. I look over and see a muscular yet slim figure marching his way over to us.
"Oh shit, it's Mr Cracci." I grumble beginning to walk quickly towards the school building, not bothering to wait for dinger, as he tries to keep up. I look back and see Mr Cracci still striding towards us, making sure we're heading towards the school building.
"Don't even bother trying to get away Miss Haidon. Your the only one who comes here-"
"Not anymore." Dinger whispers into my ear, he'd somehow managed to keep up with my pace.
"Found a new buddy to get cosy with? Ha, I wonder what Joel Would Think of that ay Miss Haidon?"
I freeze at that remark. All the teachers know that me & Joel are together and they know what a bad temper he has. So what better way to discipline a student, than using her boyfriends anger issues to manipulate her to behave? Not saying it doesn't work though, Joel can be pretty scary when he gets all aggressive & stuff. I'm only with him to boost up my reputation if I'm honest.
"Who's Joel?" I hear Dinger ask next to me. Obviously I ignore him & tell Mr Cracci that we're going to go to class and that there's no need to get Joel involved.
Mr Cracci seemed happy at that & walked away and I was left with a very confused Dinger.
We both agreed that we should go to our next class, since we couldn't afford to get caught again skipping class. Despite missing at least half of science with Tia & Kimberly , I really didn't feel guilty, if anything, it was nice getting to know the new boy- Dinger. Turns out we both have science next. Same class, well this should be fun.
Well at least Bobby's There.. I think he and Dinger would make a good pair... Of clowns. But then again, now he's with Laine, so who knows. Anything to make dinger stop tagging around me. That in mind, we both managed to find our science classroom together. Now to face the consequences of being late to Ms Bromley's Class.
