Jimin immediately changed into his spare clothes, but his jaw was clenched with frustration. The humiliation he felt went beyond what he could bear.
His eyes stung with tears as he walked out of the bathroom, desperate to tell his husband everything. But what would Jungkook do? Nothing. There was no CCTV to capture Taehyung's actions.
Jimin walked toward the classroom, and that's when he saw his husband. Jungkook's face lit up with a smile, but his expression quickly shifted to concern when he noticed Jimin's tear-filled eyes and the fact that his clothes had changed.
Without hesitation, Jungkook rushed over to Jimin.
"Why are you sad? What happened to your clothes?"
Jungkook asked, his voice filled with worry.
Jimin bit his lower lip, trying to come up with an excuse. He knew Jungkook's temper too well and didn't want him to act rashly without proof.
"I fell in the mud. You know, it rained yesterday, and when I was on my way to class, I slipped."
Jimin said, forcing a smile and looking down.
"Why are you always so clumsy?"
Jungkook chuckled lightly.
He reached out as if to ruffle Jimin's hair but then remembered they were in the hallway, and anyone could see them.
"Okay, go back to your class now."
Jungkook said, his voice softening.
Jimin nodded and was about to walk away when Taehyung suddenly appeared, running toward them. Jimin instinctively stepped back from his husband.
"Professor Jeon!"
Taehyung called out, and Jimin felt a wave of irritation. He couldn't stand the way Taehyung always seemed to seek attention from his husband.
"Yes, Taehyung?"
Jungkook responded, glancing up at the student.
Taehyung smiled brightly at him, and Jimin clenched his fists, trying to ignore the uncomfortable tension building in his chest.
"I wanted to sign up for the survival skills trip."
Taehyung said, still smiling widely, before glancing at Jimin out of the corner of his eye.
"Alright, I'll add your name to the list. Now I'll be going."
Jungkook said, shooting Jimin a quick look before walking away.
Jimin sighed and walked toward the classroom, while Taehyung quickly matched his stride.
"So, you're going on the trip too?"
Taehyung asked, his voice casual, but Jimin glared at him in irritation.
"Is that why you came over here? You want to ruin my trip too? You're a terrible person."
Jimin said, walking away, but Taehyung remained still. He felt a strange sting from Jimin's words. He couldn't understand why being called "terrible" bothered him so much. People had said worse things to him before. He'd been called all sorts of names because of his bullying but Jimin's words hit differently. They didn't make him angry; they made him feel something else. Something he couldn't quite put his finger on.
"Ugh, he's driving me crazy."
Taehyung muttered to himself before heading to class. He'd overheard Yoongi talking to another student about how he and Jimin were going, and Yoongi had encouraged the student to join them. Taehyung didn't care much for activities like that, but suddenly, he found himself determined to go.
It wasn't just about the trip. It was about Jimin. He didn't want to leave him alone, and besides, it was the perfect opportunity for revenge.
"Yeah, that's the reason."
Taehyung nodded to himself.
