Before the fall - TWAS teaser

Three weeks before the fall

"-Okay everyone. Today , we are welcoming a guest into the class !"

Kids cheer.  Madam Fordshire opens the door , smiling at the teacher and waving at them . They were no older than 10 years old.

"-Today , our old mayor , Lady Fordshire , is there with us to educate us on the upcomming election and on a very beautifull topic ; the Sorayas. Have a seat !"

Fordshire introced herself , and walked up to the whiteboard. 

"-So , does any one of you know what Soraya's are ? Yeah , you in the back.

- Isnt a uhhhh Soraya a big flying cat ?

-Haha , well tried , but not exactly. Let me go back in time.

After the grand tectonic incident , most coutries got wiped off the map and capitals lost contact. Countries were a concept before , that was basically grouping towns together around a culture. Now , i think you all know that only cities exist , and we have the technology to travel from a city to another , but the permissions are almost impossible to get. In the world , there is around 2500 cities. And as you know , in ours , we vote for a leader every 5 years.

-What about the Soraya's ? 

- Dont worry , i was coming to it.

A long long time ago , people spotted an unknown animal flying in the sky . And after this , alot of lucky events happened. Scientists made alot of research about these animals , and nothing was explaining their behavior and abilities. One day in our town , a man was walking in the forest and encountered one. And instead of evaporating , this one actually interacted through mind with our individual. It explained that it had a duty of protecting the population living in this area , and that its presence was repulsing away evil. It also holds the universes together , so they dont break and breach. Basically , if it wasnt here , the town would be full of evil , and really weird and dangerous things could happen to us. At first , everyone thought the man was crazy when he told them about this encounter, but he decided to prove them wrong by summoning his "friend" using offerings. And it worked ! The weird animal appeared , and started mind communicating with everyone to tell them the truth ; Then , it decided to bless the man with a sparkle like pin , that granted the man the power to summon it whenever he needed. People started calling these animals Soraya's ; they appear to have a mask , only one eye , 6 legs , and a lonnnng fluffy tail. After the man died , we still had signs that they were watching over us, one of those signs is some ordinary being recieving a golden sparkle pin from the sky. This was either congratulations from every good action's the person made or a warning from the sky about their bad behavior. 

Seeing a Soraya is a once in a lifetime event. In our century , only 5 Soraya appearances occured. The Soraya that appeared 4 times had an overall purple color with glowing white signs on his back , and the other one had a blue mask , pure white fur and rainbow paws.
