"Five minutes left... May prize yung mauunang makapag-pass kay teacher." I announced to the kids as I roam around the classroom, watching them work on their drawings.
Monday fast approached and it's about to end again.
He handed me his bond paper with his drawing so I smiled.
"Nice!
"Here, color this green.
"Teacher Cel,"
A soft voice suddenly called for me making me turn around again before seeing Aya's face. She handed me her work so I smiled at her too. She's the second one to pass the activity.
I looked outside and saw kids from the other room already going home with their parents.
"Okay, pray muna bago umuwi. Sino want mag-lead?" I asked the class.
Then Aya immediately raised her hand kaya napangiti nalang ako bago siya tinawag at iginaya sa unahan.
"Dear God, thank you for blessing us this day. We thank you for all the new things we learned and for giving us teacher Cel to teach us. Please guide her, me, and my classmates as we go home today. Amen."
I smiled as I felt my heart warmed after being included in the kid's prayer. It means a lot already.
"Okay, your parents are waiting for y'll outside. But if they are not here yet, stay muna po rito sa loob. Bye, kids! See you tomorrow." I told everybody in the class.
"Here, chocolate yung prize mo." I just gave him a chocolate for a reward, and also para ma-motivate pa siya na sipagan sa mga susunod na activities na gagawin.
"Thank you, teacher." he said, smiling.
"You're welcome." I said.
"Teacher Cel, bye!" I immediately looked at Aya who's also on the door, already wearing her backpack and ready to go. I was about to ask her kung may sundo na ba siya pero agad ko nang napansin ang pamilyar na lalaki na nakatayo rin sa may pintuan, sinusundo na ang anak.
