- 𝐀𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐀𝐍𝐀 𝐃𝐄𝐂𝐈𝐌𝐀 𝐒𝐄𝐏𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐔𝐒 had been given a life of luxury and riches alongside her family. Being born the only daughter of the Emperor of Rome promised such things, she had landed on the right side in the gods hands.

Her family had a strong sense of love, and they had a loving relationship between them all. Their father brought them to witness fights in the great colosseum, helping them to toughen up and prepare for their futures.

Their mother was a kind woman, who brought her children to the markets to purchase fine silks and fabrics, and to teach them manners and life skills all rulers needed.

Aeliana was given two brothers, Geta and Caracalla. The two were odd and often acted like twins, but they treated their sister well.

She was frightened by their reddened hair and pale skin, as their parents had dark hair and tanned skin, but they were family nonetheless, and they loved one another.

Growing up as the youngest child taught her many things, especially when her brothers ran off without her and excluded her from things as the young boys they were. She spent more time with her parents, learning about the life of rulers.

She was well educated by her mother, who taught her how to read, write and speak the ways of emperors. Her father favoured her, loving her and the way she payed attention to his work.

The man taught her how to fight her bare hands against creatures and people double her strength. He showed her how to handle a sword properly, and how to know when to strike.

He invited her to watch senate hearings and debates, helping her learn how to use her education against senators and representatives.
Both her mother and father made her the perfect Empress, teaching her the skills all throughout her life.

They taught her well.

Unfortunately, her brothers payed no attention to the lessons, and were very poorly educated. The two boys depended on their parents and servants, who only assisted them with the basics of life.

It was said that Aeliana would become the new Empress, but when their mother and father died tragically in an assassination, Geta and Caracalla were next for the throne, and without their parents to say otherwise, the boys would become the new Rulers of Rome.

The brunette woman helped her two brothers make important decisions as the Emperors, she did mostly everything under their names.

As the boys ruled Rome for longer, they attended each and every fight that took place in the colosseum. They watched each battle with great interest, and treated the winning men well.

Aeliana lived her wealthy life in peace, keeping to herself and minding her own business. She was fine until Marcus Acacius brought Lucius Verus back as a fighter, then her whole world quite literally crumbled from the height it had reached.

_

Lucius Verus Aurelius hadn't known much of a good life. As a young boy he was found by a woman, who took him in as her own son. He didn't even know his own name until the woman who found him called him Hanno.

The poor boy couldn't remember where he had come from, or why he had left. He only knew that his mother sent him away from any bad men trying kill him, much like his father - who he didn't know much about.

He missed his mother dearly, and was confused as to why she made him leave. But in the condition he was left in he no longer cared for her, and stopped calling her his mother.

He grew up on a farm, tending to the crops and any animals that they had. His work went unnoticed, and he lived in bad conditions. His only happiness being from playing football with the other boys in his area.

When he had to run again, he ran far away from the woman who took him in. A group of bad men went looking for him, and arrived in his village calling for him.

Him leaving away made him feel unlovable, making him closed off and unable to speak about how he feels. His childhood of being an orphan without a real name upset and angered him, which left him an obnoxious person.

After days of being alone, he was found once again by an army of men led by a man called Jubartha. They took him in and fed him and be helped them fight as part of their army.

He had very few close friends, the rare exception being Jubartha and a couple of others. He decided to not get close to anyone to avoid hurt and pain if he was taken again or killed.

As he got older, he got stronger, and became one of the head leaders for their army. His entire childhood consisted of learning to fight and survive, making him the perfect man to be a soldier.

But the day he gets taken by Marcus Acacius's fleet of soldiers, his whole world completely changes.

His determination and skills made him a top pick for buyers, and many people bet on him during his fights. Though he was treated badly for being barbarous, he was well respected by those around him.

Lucius Verus was strong, determined and intelligent, which made him the perfect contender in the colosseum games.

After his first victory against the deadly monkeys, he goes on and fights in the colosseum, where he meets the one person who brings his mind to peace.
