CHARLIE MENDOZA IS IN QUITE THE PREDICAMENT.

She's watched countless coming of age films and here's the thing that sucks - this situation that she's landed herself in? There's not as much as a morsel of fact or fiction about it. She's tried films, books, and even reddit because god only knows that you can find anything on there but nope! There's no such luck for poor Charlie.

You see, she knows that having a crush is a normal part of the teenaged experience. And having a crush that breaks your heart clean down the middle without even realising? Well, that's pretty much par for the course.

But - and this is the kicker - what do you do when you have two crushes on two totally different guys. One who is the sweetest, coolest nerd you've ever met and one who is a freaking superhero who swings around the town in stupid spandex and has actually genuinely saved your life once and then shows up on your apartments fire escape just to make sure you're okay and you don't even know his real name?

How, exactly, is a girl to choose between the two of them when they're both so sweet and wonderful and perfect but seemingly worlds apart from one another?

And then... Then, what about when you're too chicken shit to tell either of them about how you feel? And you just end up in eternal despair, destined to be forever alone? WHAT THEN?

Charlie doesn't know, okay! But she'd like to and that's - like - really annoying and just a total disaster.

Seems the only logical solution is to pretend there is no issue at all. Run around, tie yourself in ridiculous little knots, and slowly, methodically ruin your own heart
