S1 E3: Cheeseburger Backpack

|Spect's POV|

We had just warped back from our mission to get this small statue thingy and I'm exhausted...

Who would have thought fighting a giant bird would be this much of a hassle? Plus, Amethyst taking its egg only made it even harder.

As I went to sit on the couch to get these feathers out of my hair, I saw Steven walk into the house.

Steven: "Huh?"

Garnet: "Hello, Steven."

Pearl: "Amethyst, we do not need that!"

I look over to Amethyst and see her trying to figure out a way to fit the egg in our fridge.

Pearl: "It's not going to fit in the fridge!"

Amethyst: "What? I got this."

She then slowly slides the shelf out of the fridge before dropping it to the floor along with the contents that were on it.

Amethyst: "Look, it fits!"

I see Amethyst reach for the fridge's door and I see that she forgot to take those shelves out too, before I could tell her though, she slammed the fridge shut with a laugh. I can see by the look on her face though that she didn't also hear the audible cracking sound like me and Pearl when she did.

Amethyst: "Oh man, We can make a big omelet, or a quiche, or big sunny side ups! We can make it!" She then pauses before continuing "That's a thing, right?"

Not wanting to hear Amethyst ramble on about how she will cook the egg that definitely now painted the inside of the fridge, I give my attention to Steven who was looking for an explanation.

Spect: "We fought a giant bird." I stated as I went back to preening my hair of these feathers.

Garnet comes over to me to help get some out since a few of the feathers left fuzz. I silently thank her as Pearl talks to Steven.

Pearl: "We're only here for a second, we've got to go back out."

Steven: "What? Why?"

Pearl then shows him the statue thing we grabbed after our battle.

Pearl: "We have to place this Moon Goddess Statue on the top of the Lunar Sea Spire before midnight. Without it, the whole place will fall apart! Oh, Steven, you should have seen the spire in its heyday."

She then projects a hologram as she explains, like what she did when she was explaining to me why it was important to retrieve before we were attacked.

Pearl: "It was an oasis for Gems on Earth." She then abruptly stops the projection before continuing. "It's abandoned now, but we can still save it with this statue!"

Steven: "Wha? That's perfect!"

We all just stare at Steven for a moment before Pearl breaks the silence.

Pearl: "What? Why?"

Steven then places down the box I didn't realize he was carrying before explaining.

Steven: "Because I can help carry it for you, in this!"

He then pulls out a backpack in the shape of a cheeseburger out of the box while making sound effects.

Spect: "Cool. Think the people who made it have duffle bags in the shape of éclairs?"

I don't think Steven expected me to ask that when he looked at me. But before he could answer, Pearl questioned the bag.
