"Please proceed to the front, ma'am!"

I was still trembling as the staff motioned for Isaac and me to take the front seats. We had ride-all-you-can tickets, but entering the park was overwhelming since we didn't know which ride to try first. In the end, we chose the Space Shuttle.

The Space Shuttle is a steel roller coaster located in Enchanted Kingdom, Santa Rosa, Laguna, Philippines. Known as Space Shuttle Max, it is a Vekoma Boomerang coaster featuring a single train with seven cars, each car having two rows and each row accommodating two seats, allowing the train to carry up to 28 passengers.

Inspired by Sci-Fi films and the NASA space program of the 1960s, this 11-story roller coaster inverts riders six times—three times forward and three times backward. Notably, it is the first coaster of its kind in the country.

Originally named the 'Cobra,' this ride was situated at West Midland Safari and Leisure Park in Bewdley, England, from 1985 to 1991.

I felt his hand on my waist as he gave it a reassuring tap. I couldn't muster the strength to speak, so when the staff asked again if we were really sitting at the front, he answered for me.

"Yes, let's go!" He smiled at the staff before turning to look at me.

"Nervous?"

I nodded faintly and followed him to our seats. My eyes darted around, taking in the surroundings. This was my first roller coaster ride, and I had never felt this nervous before.

"Yes!" I tried to smile, but the nervousness mixed with excitement was hard to hide.

I was nervous because what if there's an error? What if the over-the-shoulder restraints suddenly loosen and we all fall? On the other hand, I was excited to see what the world looks like upside down—but NOT in a Final Destination scenario. That thought made me even more anxious.

"WAHHHHH!"

"It hasn't even started yet!" he scolded, startled by my sudden scream. Even the staff and the other passengers, both seated and boarding, turned to look at me.

"Just warming up!"

I had read somewhere that the best way to deal with nervousness is to scream it out, though I probably overdid it.

I tightened my grip on Isaac's hand as the restraints clicked into place, signaling that the ride would start in just a few seconds.

Isaac squeezed my hand a little tighter as well, but then we noticed the staff gesturing toward someone. It was a guy about our age, probably a part-time or full-time employee, I wasn't sure.

"It's prohibited to eat while the roller coaster is in motion, ma'am!" he said politely but firmly.

We followed his gaze. At the very back, a girl who looked about Naya's age was holding a snack. Judging by her demeanor, though, she seemed like a spoiled brat.

"Why not?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

I could feel my blood boiling. Isaac let go of my hand, and I could tell he was irritated too.

"You might choke, ma'am!"

The staff's voice trembled slightly, and it was obvious he was holding back his frustration. It seemed like he wanted to push the girl off the ride but couldn't.
