The moonlight fell on the man lying on the bed. It was tracing his whole body. It can be seen that the person's physique was well maintained and the god himself chiseled his face. The only shortcoming was the bandage wrapped around his forehead. The blanket which originally covered his body was thrown on the floor in his unconscious state. After what felt like forever, the person slowly opened his eyes. sensing an unfamiliar environment, his eyes, heavy-lidded, flickered open. he felt a throbbing pain on his forehead.
"Finally you are awake"
Acacia turned his head towards the direction only to be met with the sight of a masked figure, their silhouette stark against the dim light.
Acacia in general is a very shrewd and most careful person. He can detect stuffs that normal people can't. That was the reason why he was able to run a company at a very young age. The thought that he was not able to sense the presence of this masked man was shocking as well as a bit frightening. but his face was as calm as the morning sea.
"You've come a long way, Acacia," the figure's voice, a low, menacing whisper, echoed in the silent room. "It's time you learned the truth."
The figure produced a small, leather-bound book, its pages filled with cryptic symbols and ancient script. "Your family, Acacia, is not what it seems. They are guardians, protectors of a secret that could change the world."
Acacia's mind raced, trying to comprehend the words. Guardians? A secret? He thought of his family, his parents, and his little sister, Phoenix. Could they be hiding something so profound?
"Does my family know about this?"
"well all of those who knew the secret are no more except one"
"who is it?"
"The answers to your question may change your world view and I'm not the messenger. All i can say is that the person is your family member. your family is the target"
"Phoenix," he managed to croak out, his voice raspy. "What about Phoenix?"
The figure smirked. "Ah, yes, your little sister. She is the key, the one they all seek. Her life is in danger, Acacia. She is the target of those who would use the secret for their own nefarious purposes."
A wave of fear washed over Acacia. Phoenix, his bright, bubbly sister, was in danger? He couldn't let that happen. He had to protect her.
"What do you want from me?" Acacia demanded, his voice growing stronger.
The figure leaned forward, their eyes glinting with malice. "Your cooperation, Acacia. Your family's cooperation. Only then will Phoenix be safe. Remember the messenger, the guardian, the protector are all in the same cave. The treasure will bring mayhem and only the world will remain only till the secrets are buried"
As the figure disappeared into the shadows, Acacia was left alone with his thoughts. The weight of the revelation was crushing. His family, the life he knew, was built on a foundation of secrets and danger. He knew he had to escape, to find Phoenix and protect her. The fate of his family, and perhaps the world, rested on his shoulders.
