I woke up, my head throbbing.
My hand unconsciously went to my forehead as I opened my eyes.

I squinted as I grabbed my phone from the bedside table, looking at the time which read '11:09 a.m'.

I groaned in annoyance and sat up, rubbing my forehead as I tried to remember how I needed up like this.

Then it hit me- getting drunk, meeting a blonde guy, Zane coming into view, Zane telling me not to stare at him.... and then......

What happened after that...?
How did I even end up in my room?

I got down from the bed, my hair messy, and my makeup was probably messed up too.

I looked down as my foot touched the pair of Converse I was wearing last night.
Someone even took off my shoes...?

I took my phone again and tried calling Nic, knowing he has night-shifts on Saturdays.

"I can smell tequila through the phone," He said sarcastically and I frowned.

"Who got me back home?" I asked him, my voice still sleepy.

"My boss, and also friend," He answered, and I could imagine him glaring at me through the phone call.

I stayed silent, waiting for him to explain further.

"Zane Romano dropped you off, and also surprisingly, had the heart to carry you upstairs, bridal style by the way, and got your áss to bed so you won't freeze to death," He said.

"And you were....?" I said after a long pause.

Then it was his turn to be silent, ".......Uhhhh................................."

"Why would I waste a completely romantic moment?" He asked back, a small hint of sarcasm in his voice.

"Shut up," I groaned and hung up.

I stumbled to the bathroom, instantly splashing water on my face, trying to completely wake up.

I looked at myself in the mirror, closing the tap as I did.

A smile formed on my face as I repeated what Nic said in the phone call, in my head.

Carried me to bed in bridal style. Took off my shoes too.

The winter breeze touched my skin partly through the sweater as I closed the door behind me.

I had decided to take an evening walk outside since I've been finishing assignments all morning after waking up, and a walk would be really helpful.

"Be back before six! You have an hour!" I heard Nic yell out from inside and sighed at him repeating the same thing for the millionth time.
