News spread of an underground cavern in the depths of the jungle. Stephen took this as an opportunity to get his mind off of the heartache that was crushing his soul.
The two set out in the scientist's most recent invention, a cave travelling ship. They ventured deeper and deeper, a wide array of buttons lit up the dashboard of the vehicle. Lillies eyes shone with mirth as she absorbed the sight before her.
"Lillie, do you know why you have that name?" Stephen asked, curious how his child would answer.
beep
"No, father. Why did you give me this name?" The droid replied, cocking her head ever so slightly.
beep
"There was a person that was very important to me. She encouraged me to pursue my dreams and saw something in me when others didn't." He croaked out, tears beginning to well in his eyes.
beep
There was a loud crash as he pressed his hand against her chest, propelling her frame in the opposite direction of the impact. The scientist stood in the distance, a soft smile graced his features as the light instantly left his eyes, the roof of the cockpit caving in over him.
Lillie looked down at where blinding blue light
emanated from and etched into her chest
were three words.
