Looks like Matthew didn't throw that party after all. I'm glad because I know he would've invited Caden, and I'm too angry to see him. I thought last night would have gone differently but I thought wrong. Mom stayed overnight at her office. She's working on a big case she won't tell me or Matthew about. Must be really important.

It's raining again today, I don't know why it's been raining so much but it's messing up my whole schedule. Today I was gonna go out with Michael and Lia to the beach, but we can scratch that out of the to-do list. I heard there is this movie coming out today. Looks like my day isn't ruined after all.

I went downstairs to find Matthew in the living room on his phone. "I'm heading out, Matthew."

"Where are you going?"

I don't want to tell him I'm going to the movies because I know he'll want to come and then bring Caden with him.

"To Michael's house. Why?"

"Me and Caden were thinking about seeing that new movie so I need the car."

Shit

"Can't you just ride on his motorcycle with him?"

"Funny. I'm taking the car," he fakely smiled.

There's no point in lying anymore, I might as well tell him where I'm actually going.

"I was actually going to go to the movies too, but I didn't want to tell you because I knew you were going to invite Caden and I can't stand to see his face again."

"Woah Paisley, I know you're mad at him for punching your best friend but it was an honest mistake."

"Sure, just an honest mistake." He didn't know the whole story, I'd like to keep it that way.

He shrugged.

"Well on that note, let's go together, we'll pick up Lia and Michael on the way."

"I'm not sure I want to go anymore."

"Oh c'mon, don't act like that."

"Fine, whatever," I caved

"Alright!" Matthew jumped up off the couch and began walking to the door, throwing his keys between his hands. I jumped into the front seat.

"We'll pick up Caden first since he lives closer." I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms.

Arriving at Caden's house, I'm astonished at how big his house is, he must be rich. How can he live in this big house but act the way he does? He acts as if he grew up on the streets.

His motorcycle is parked in the humongous driveway along with a 1965 blue Mustang convertible. Don't ask how I know, I grew up with a brother.

Caden came walking out in his usual outfit except something was different, he had a black bandana in his hair.

Fuck he's hot.

His black hair was slick back in the bandana. I cannot stand men in bandanas, I won't be able to keep my eyes off of him. He probably did this to fuck with me.

He walked around the car until he came to my door and opened it. "Out."

"What?" I was confused.

"Get in the back."

"Damn, okay."

I got out of the car and I could feel Caden staring at me the whole time I did so. I wanted so badly to hit him but I didn't want to make a scene.

We were at Michael's house in no time, and luckily, Lia was also there so we didn't have to make another stop. When they walked out of the house I noticed Michael's eye, it looks a bit better than yesterday and the cut on his lip was completely gone only leaving behind a little scar. I didn't tell them that Caden and Matthew were coming with us so they're going to be very confused. They were getting close to the car and I saw Michael's face wiped of his happiness and replaced with fear. Lia opened the door, "What the hell is he doing here?" Her voice was trying to be quiet but I'm sure Caden heard.
