Chapter 4: Best friends

As you walked out of class to noticed someone follow you out. you were going to say something but before you could speak they said "It was so cool when you came in to class late on purpose, I could never do that!" The guy following you said. "But-" he interrupted you before you could speak.
"The names Chad" he said holding out his hand. You shake his hand and say "Zach, Zach Murphy to be exact". "Cool, Are you new here?" Chad asked with curiosity. "Yeah, I've never been to this school before". "I've been here my whole life, the teachers suck, the lunch is descent, and the kids are weirddddddd if you know what I mean, but I'm sure you'll get used to it" Chad said as he walked with you. "Talking about about weird, what was up with that one girl in our class? " you said curiously. "You mean Yumi Martinez?, She's really weird man, She never talks, She always gets pale and doesn't speak when the teachers call on her, and she just stares at people... I swear that bitch just gives me the creeps" said Chad. You were so busy listening to Chad that you accidentally bumped into someone. "Watch where you going nerd!" The guy you bumped into said. "Bro do you know who just bumped into?, that's Blake Thompson, he's the meanest guy in school, I heard one time he sent broke a guys arm just for looking at him" Chad whispered. Your face turned pale and Chad backed up. "I'm sorry i didn't mean to-" before you could speak Blake interrupted you. "If you're really sorry then how about you or your friend give me some money". Blake said. You turned around to see that Chad ditched you and now is just you and Blake face to face. "It's either that or I send you to the infirmary" he said in a cold voice. "You quickly dig your hands in your pocket and gave him all had. "this isn't the end of it" Blake said as he walked away. You quickly run down the hallway and find Chad standing in font if you. "Thanks for taking one for the team Zack, I had 50 dollars in pocket, I couldn't lose that". Chad said as he counted the money in his hand and put it back. "What was that!, you ditched back there and left me with him just so you wouldn't lose 50 dollars?!" You said in an irritated voice. "I'm sorry man, a man gotta do what he gotta do, and besides at least he didn't beat you up". Chad said enthusiastically. "But he said this isn't the end" you said as you put your hands in your pockets. "Oh shit man, that means he's probably gonna come back for more money". Chad said in a nervous voice. But he interrupted before you could even speak. "But anyways I gotta go now, see ya around James!!!" Chad said as you watched him run to his next class.
