28. Recovery

YUVIKA'S POV

It's been two months that agastya ji hasn't woken up properly after that day . He used to open his eyes for few minutes and then close it again.
Everyone in the family is extremely worried, we sent shreya bhabhi to her house because she was pregnant and stress would worsen her and the baby's situation. Even I couldn't meet Rashmi didi as this is her last month being pregnant. Papaji and bhaiya seem to be busy with bussiness, but bhaiya comes every night to stay beside agastya ji. Papaji doesn't eat food properly and somehow blames himself for agastya ji's situation. Even mummyji stays quiet, I had thought of joining college as I had decided with agastya ji but seeing him in this way, I couldn't leave me anymore. He's on liquid right now, saline water is connected to him all the time, he breathes very slowly, the doctors say that we must check him for one more month, otherwise there is more chances of him going in coma. My life seems to be dull again, I can't live without him,
half of the bussiness of AR industries has been taken care by karanveer. Since the time agastya ji is in hospital even Karanveer hasn't done anything, he seems to be quiet about this situation.

As I entered in the hospital room, I could still see him motionless, lying there. I don't know how this happened, a small headache could lead to such traumatic situation. I believe mummyji and Papaji are hiding something from me but I don't know what it is.
I placed the cake and flowers on the table beside him, I still remember how he used to say, "Babe on our six month anniversary I'll take you to Paris, since it will be Christmas time and we haven't had our honeymoon yet."
Oh how I miss him, his flirty words, how he used to tease me.

"Agastya ji uthiye na... Aaj humhari sixth month anniversary hai. Celebrate nhi karenge???" my eyes were filled with tears, spending each day without him seems like hell. I rather be in hell than to see him like this.
I had so many questions in my mind, why, how is he like this. Why such a small pain in the brain could lead him to being in hospital for two months.
Even the last time we talked, he asked me how I was even though he was in the hospital.

"knock, knock"

It was shahin, agastya ji's bodyguard

"Ma'am, there's a board meeting today at AR industries. Mostly Mr Alok Raichand used to attend it in place of boss but he's out of town for our sales bussiness. So he said.... You should attend the meeting today in place of him."
I knew how important this deal was for agastya ji, but seeing Karanveer after two months of such disgrace was too much. But I would do it for agastya ji.

"OK, get the car ready I'll straight go to the office itself and inform mummyji to come and stay with agastya ji."

Shahin nodded and left, I turned around and held Agastya's hand, "first time meeting mei jaa rhi hu, wish nhi karenge?"
(I'm going in a meeting for a first time, won't you wish?)
I squeezed his hand and kissed his forehead
"I promise to come back with good news ok" with a smile I left for the meeting.
On my way, shahin explained me everything, he even said that Karanveer has been handling everything very nicely. He doesn't make it seem that he's doing it for himself, infact his help has benefitted our company alot.

AUTHOR'S POV

As soon as Yuvika reached the office, she was greeted by Karanveer who was look hot as hell in his black suit. Yuvika wore her simple black saree.

"Good evening Mrs Raichand, I didn't expect you could handle meetings as well." he smirked and pulled her for a hug. Despite the anger yuvika hugged him back.
"Sure, Mr Singhania, this is Agastyaji's dream project, and I must fulfil it for him."
"Ya, agastya and his dreams. Everyone loves him alot right, even after being in coma, he woke up, was fine for such a long time and see, again fell on the bed same like 12 years ago."
Karanveer's words went above Yuvika's head. What did he mean by again coma???
"Again??? What do you mean again... And what do you mean 12 years ago???? What had happened 12 years ago??" before Karanveer could answer, the board members called them for the meeting.
Karanverr and yuvika went inside, and the meeting began.
Everything went smoothly, with the help of Karanveer and Yuvika's words, the project was successfully given the AR industries.

After the meeting was over, Karanveer shook hands with yuvika, and left without saying a word, because he knew if he told her about the past, she would despise him only. And again take support of Agastya. So it was better for him to go away.

"Karanveer running away from me, his different behavior, the truth. There is something that has been hidden from me, and I need to know it. What had happened 12 years ago??? Why does Agastyaji hate Karanveer so much, and why is Karanveer behaving so differently. I must ask this to mummyji."
With these many thoughts and questions, yuvika straight went to the hospital, to meet Ragini and also to ask the answers to her questions.

Yuvika went inside the room where Ragini was sitting beside agastya.

"Mummy Ji, sab thik hai?"

"Haa, sab thik hai. Meeting Kyse rahi?"

"Meeting Acchi rahi, humhe project milgaya."

"Chalo Bariya hua, meine dekha tum cake Aur flowers layi thi, happy six months anniversary beta." she touched Yuvika's head and kissed her forehead.

"thank you maa, Maa... Lekin mujhe apse kuch puchna tha!"
Ragini's face tenders, she knows what yuvika was about to question.

"Pucho beta, kya baat hai."

"Maa, 12 saal phele kya hua tha??? Itna toh mujhe bhi pata hai ki insaan ek Chote se headache ke kaaran do mahine bed mei para nhi hota. And why did the doctor say he might go to coma again????? Again kyu??? Karanveer bhi uss time bola, ki agastya ji phirse coma... Kya hai sachai maaa." Yuvika's eyes were filled with tears, she needed to know the answer, Ragini gulped and breathed softly.

"This is true beta, agastya has gone to coma for 3 years, after which he had forgotten everything, he had forgotten his 16 years of childhood. He even had forgotten us, but slowly with time he remembered us. Ek accident k kaaran yeh hua tha." Yuvika's eyes widened when she heard that, agastya never mentioned about being in come. And maybe that was the reason, he didn't knew much about his childhood, or never felt that connected to anything because he didn't remember anything.

"But how does Karanveer know about it??"

"Karanveer and his parents were our friends. But due to some reasons we all got separated and they went to Russia, two years later we got to know they died. And Karanveer was left alone with his uncle."
Ragini lied, she couldn't tell the real reason to yuvika because she was scared that yuvika would leave agastya and go after hearing the truth. She was scared that she wouldnt accept the fault of Alok.
Both began to cry and hugged each other.
"It's OK mummyji, inko kuch nhi hoga. Sab thik hojaegaaa." yuvika hugged Ragini tightly and slept on her lap for a while. We stayed like that for an hour, then mummy ji and I decided to go home. Today Papaji said that he would go and stay with agastya ji.

TWO DAYS LATER

AUTHOR'S POV

"Suniye na, Shreya bahu ki godbharai karni hai, kab karwaye?" Ragini asked alok who was in his study, he glanced at her and kept his head low,
"Agastya do mahine se coma mei hai, and you want to do baby shower. Are you serious Ragini?"
"I know that, but it's Shreya's first child how can I neglect that. Even she's our daughter-in-law, what answer will I give her in future ha." Ragini replied back with eyes full of tears. Alok nodded, and got up from his chair to sit beside ragini in the sofa.
"I can understand your situation Ragini, I'm sorry for shouting at you. Let's have a small family get together for Shreya's baby shower OK!" he side hugged her and kissed her forehead.

Soon the arrangements were done, and Shreya's baby shower took place. It was an intimate ceremony with only Yuvika's and Shreya's family invited along with the raichands.
Yuvika was busy with the arrangements and the whole family was busy with Shreya.
Suddenly yuvika got a call from shahin,

Hello shahin, what happened!?? Is everything fine.

Ma'am, agastya boss is waking up, his eyes are certainly opening. Please please come ma'am.. The doctors have asked for you ma'am.

Yuvika's eyes widened, her eyes filled with tears. Running towards the main she left for the hospital.
Everyone looked at her in confusion, soon Rohan got the news and everyone left for the hospital.
