The rain was pouring from the sky rapidly as Juliet stood still in front of her office's huge window looking outside. Her long black hair was straightened up and tied down in a ponytail...A beautiful midi plain black dress was fitted on her showing every curve on her body...The pencil heel with her tattoo added extra charm to her beauty...The clear nails were attached to her fingers and gold studs were in her ears...The diamond necklace was hanging on her neck with red lipstick on her full lips.

Her lips were curled up forming a smile on his face. She was swirling the wine glass in her hand as she was unconsciously thinking about someone. She had no idea why her thoughts had stopped on him. He was someone so ordinary...A low-level police detective. He was nothing compared to Juliet and that was not Juliet's arrogance, but it was a fact.

Juliet Eros was not an ordinary name in the business and fashion world. She was a well-known fashion designer who owned a modelling agency. She was the owner of the ' J & Co Fashion modelling agency' which had endorsements with top-class actors, singers and models. Juliet, herself was a fashion designer who made designs and was a well-established woman in the world of fashion. At the age of thirty, she was a self-made woman. She was rich, powerful, and charming. She could desire anyone, and that person would be hers, yet she was yawning after an ordinary prideful detective.

With long black hair, a petite but well-built body structure, black eyes, full pink lips, sharp features, a small waist, a lean body, a tattoo on her whole right arm from shoulder till her wrist, and fashionable and rich class taste. There was nothing ordinary about her. Then why she was interested in someone so ordinary? Was it lust? It has been nine months since she last slept with someone. Was she just sexually frustrated? Probably? She thought when someone knocked on her office's door. The grand black door was opened as her secretary entered.

'Madam, Mr Thomas is here to meet you.' Her secretary informed her about the visit of one of his business partners.

'Send him inside.' Juliet ordered on which her secretary walked out after nodding his head. Within the next few minutes, her office door was opened again, and Thomas stepped inside. Juliet looked back towards him and walked towards him as they greeted each other with a fake smile playing on their lips. They both sat down on the black leather sofas in front of each other.

Juliet's office was on the eleventh floor of the building which was the top floor of the building. Her office was grand and lavish. There was a wide and massive black wood table in the middle of the office as you entered inside. Her table was filled with her work-related objects. The walls of the office were painted white and there was a massive window behind his office table. In front of the table, two leather black sofas were set down in front of each other, and a television was displayed on the wall. The carpet was laid under the sofas and the door of the room was coloured white. The office gave off a vibe that was minimalist and organised. It was a simple yet elegant office just like the owner of the place.

'What brings you here Thomas?' Juliet asked starting the conversation.

'Don't ask...I am in huge trouble.' Thomas replied displeased as informing her about his current condition.

'Because of what?' Juliet asked expressionless. She was not much interested in Thomas and his troubles.

'Because of my bloody dead wife's murder case. The bitch is not leaving me even after her death.' Thomas replied frustrated while boiling in the fire of anger and Juliet stared at him blankly.

Three months ago, Thomas' wife was murdered and currently, her case was ongoing in the court. It was a domestic violence case. Thomas was known in the industry to be an abuser who had been brutally hitting his wife in their ten years of marriage. The word of mouth in the industry was that he was the one who probably murdered her. He probably hit her too much causing her to die. In the police case, he was the main suspect and Juliet knew he was the one who killed his innocent wife. Juliet could tell when he sees these kinds of people...people who can kill other people without regret and Thomas was one of them.

Thomas never confessed and accepted his crime neither court had any strong evidence against him. A lot more people in the fashion industry including Juliet knew about this unambiguous truth, but no one was standing up and speaking about it. The fashion industry was a cruel place where so many times you had to turn a blind eye to things including murder. Thomas was a powerful businessman with connections, so no one wanted to talk against him. Juliet had a different reason for not speaking up.

The reason was that Juliet did not care. She did not care about Thomas or the woman who was murdered. She was not some emotional fool who believed in stuff like justice and fairness. The woman who kept getting hit by a man for ten years and could not stand up for herself why would a stranger like Juliet want to stand up for someone like her? What could be a possible reason for that woman to being abused by the man for ten years and still not leaving her...Was the reason money or love? Both reasons were ridiculous and were not enough to tolerate abuse for ten years while killing your self-pride and respect. Juliet thought bitterly when she heard Thomas' voice reaching her ears bringing her out from her wonderland.

'The detective on the case is a pain in an ass. If it was not for him, I would have been free by now...What was his name? Aaw...Holland Diego.' The name which rolled out from Thomas's lips catches Juliet's attention. The unconscious pleasing and alluring figure of someone leaning against the wall rushed through Juliet's mind. The pleasing hormones spread across Juliet's body upon thinking about him.

'What name did you just take?' Juliet quickly asked for confirmation as if she was imagining and might have heard him wrong.

'Holland Diego...He is such a jerk. He is not letting go of the case.' Thomas said aggrieved as he went through his hand in his hair displeased.

'What's a big deal? You have so much money. Just buy him.' Juliet recommended carelessly as she gave him advice while letting go of the thoughts about him.

'Do you think I have not tried? He doesn't take bribes. He has a clean record. He is loyal and hardworking. There is nothing I could use against him... He is a nut case.' Thomas said irked and Juliet felt amused about this information about him. She smirked as she was getting more interested in him, and that was not a good sign. Curiosity about the man she was unable to forget even for a second since she met him was a dangerous signal.

'Then what are you going to do?' Juliet asked as a smug smile was playing on her lips with her eyes shining brightly without realisation upon Holland's topic like she was enjoying talking about him. She suddenly felt the urge to view Holland as her toy...It was indeed a new toy for Juliet to play with and mess around with.

'Nothing...It does not matter how much that detective wanted me behind bars they have no evidence against me. I will just wait.' Thomas replied smirking on his plan and Juliet just nodded his head as she visualised his body in her arms.

'I am supposed to meet him again today. The police are coming to my house to visit. They wanted to analyse the crime again...in case they found something. Such a waste of time.' Thomas said irritated informing Juliet and that piqued interest in Juliet's mind as it looked like a chance to meet him once again...It was like destiny wanted them to meet each other. Juliet did not think she would be given a chance to meet him again this soon.

'Can I come with you?' Juliet asked without hesitation while Thomas strangely surprised looked at Juliet for her excessive interest towards the detective but said nothing and just nodded his head. Upon hearing Thomas' answer, Juliet felt a rush of excitement spreading in her body and she was unsure whether it was because she was meeting him again or because she wanted to know whether he remembered Juliet.
