"Arianna I'm getting sick of this" Alexander seethes keeping his eyes on the road. He's been ranting for a good 10 minutes now.
He made Domenico ride back with Leonardo and Federico and hauled myself and Kai into his car.
"I said I'm sorry Xan, I just wanted to see Domenico fight" I respond with a pout. I suppose i was in the wrong a little.
"I don't give a fuck, do you know how dangerous these places are. You were told a whole gang is after us Anna, Pietto knows your face now" he goes on. I frown noticing the disappointment in his voice.
"It was my fault Xan, Nico suggested it to me" I hear Kai utter quietly from the back seat. I turn and smile. Kai will always have my back... and that's exactly what Nico said.
"Kai I'm still mad at you for breaking my phone, I know damn well this is Ariana's idea not yours" Alexander looks up at Kai in the mirror who rolls his eyes.
He sighs before looking over to me. "You're lucky no one else knows about this" He utters as my face lights up. He didn't tell anyone, well any of the elders I'm sure.
"I LOVE YOU XAN" Kai yells from the back Making me laugh. Alexander rolls his eyes but I catch the slight smile on this face.
Suddenly the sound of a siren and blue flashing lights appear behind us. "Shit" Alexander whispers as the police car trails slowly behind us.
The car comes to slow stop. Alexander reaches into a front compartment taking out a gun. This is not going to end well.
"Alexander no-" I try to intervene but he cuts me off. "Just shut up and trust me" he seethes before hiding the item in his waistband.
I jump at the sudden knock on a window. I turn to see a male cop glaring and gesturing for the window to be rolled down.
Alexander complies and rolls down the window. "Is there a problem" he asks keeping his face neutral.
"Stavi accelerando (you were speeding)" the officer responds in Italian.
"I only speak English" Alexander answers and I almost break, hiding my smile. Smart.
The officer sighs before rubbing his forehead. "You were driving over the speed limit" the officer responds in a strong accented voice.
"I'm so sorry officer, I couldn't understand the signs. They're all in Italian" Alexander responds sounding very believable. Damn get this guy in Hollywood.
The officer smiles before taking out his notepad. "I understand sir, I'll hand you a warning. Wait here" he steps away from the car. We all let out a deep breath.
"He doesn't know our faces, however I'm sure the pigs are aware of the rest of our families. He must be new, he didn't even ask for my licence" Xan says before laughing.
"At least someone's smart in our family" Kai utters and I nod in agreement.
The officer knocks on the window again. "Here sir-" the officer is in the middle of handing a note to Alexander when a car shoots in front of us followed by 2 police cars chasing.
My eyes go wide noticing that's Domenico's car. Xan snatches the note out of the officer's hand before rolling up the window. "Hey" he yells but it's too late we've sped off after them.
"Idiot" Alexander yells as me and Kai start screaming from how fast Xander is going.
"Don't kill us xan" I yell as we reach 80mph. What the fuck is happening. Alexander's phone starts to ring. He takes it out and places it on my lap. "Answer" he growls. "Put it on speaker".
"Get these Dumbasses off me" Domeniocs voice comes through. I swear i hear the sound of a gun cocking as well. "Rico no, we can't afford a shootout" Leo then says. Of course Federico is ready to shoot.
"Why are they chasing you" Alexander asks keeping his eyes on the road.
"I was getting pulled over but drove off. These cops know us, their sole aim is to get us behind bars" Domenico answers sounding pissed. This cannot be good.
"Keep fucking driving" Alexander growls speeding up. This might be the end for me and Kai. If we just stayed at home none of this would be happening.
Suddenly we hear a loud bang coming through the phone. We look ahead of us to find a cop car has come from the other direction and crashed into their car.
"Fuck" Domenico yells out in pain before a groan comes through. "RICO" Leonardo yells out. Oh no. Alexander's car comes to a sudden stop. He loses all senses and climbs out the car only to be tackled by the cop from earlier plus 3 others.
"Don't touch me" Alexander yells as he's restrained. It takes 4 cops in total to restrain him to the ground.
The car door is suddenly yanked open and I'm being roughly pulled out by my arm. The same for Kai.
"Don't touch my sister you fucks" Kai yells until he's punched in the face and thrown to the ground.
"What the fuck is wrong with you" I yell watching Kai being jumped on. I'm suddenly pushed up against a cop car and handcuffed, my arms behind my back.
"You fucking Morettis" an older cop comes forward kneeling down next to Alexander who's still thrashing around. He manages to head butt an officer until his head is shoved roughly into the ground.
"You're going to hurt him" I yell trying to move away from the car but the full weight of a man is pressed on top of me. no, get him off. I don't like this.
I suddenly hear commotion coming from a few meters in front of us. I turn to see an unconscious Federico with a bloodied head being dragged out of the car and roughly thrown onto the ground.
"ILL KILL YOU" Leonardo yells as he himself his being tackled to the ground. Before I can register what's happened, I feel myself being pulled over there and dumped onto the ground next to him. Kai is also being dragged over no Alex though. They probably won't risk getting off of him.
Domenico is also being brought over looking like he wants to kill someone. "You fucking pigs were following me" he yells before being dropped beside us. The officers take out their guns and point them at us. Since when were Italian officers allowed guns.
"I'd stop moving if I were you" the officer from earlier says glaring at me. What the heck did I do.
"My dad is going to fucking Kill you" Kai yells only to earn a laugh from the bunch.
"I'm glad you mentioned your dad, we arrested the Morettis children. This is a victory" an Officer laughs before punching Kai again. Domenico tries to get up but is knocked over.
I turn to see Alexander being hauled into the back of a police car. It's taking 5 officers to restrain this one single man. I take a deep Breath examining the situation around me.
Federico is unconscious. Leo is trying to reach his brother but they're restraining him. There's a clear bruise forming on Kai's head from the punches, I'll get him back for that I promise. Alexander is in the back of a cop car on the verge of murdering everyone. Domencio won his fight but could also kill someone right now. And here I am sitting quietly in cuffs.
Safe to say this is not how I expected the night the night to end.
